I teach fiber arts classes to adults, covering topics and skills like Batik, Shibori, Screen Printing, stencils and stamping, and inkjet printing on fabric. After taking one of my classes, students are eligible to attend any and all of my open studio sessions, held twice weekly, to work semi-​independently on projects of their choice. I am always availailable to demonstrate new techniques, offer assistance and answer questions during the sessions.

History

Established in 2014.

I have been an art educator, graphic designer and artist all of my adult life. Following a long career as an art teacher and a graphic designer that began in 1979, I pursued a masters degree in art education. After I graduated in 2013, I began developing art classes for adults, which I now teach in my home studio. It’s definitely a dream job!

Business Owner

My path as an artist has taken many turns. With formal training in fine arts and art education, I have spent over thirty years as a graphic designer and art educator. A few years ago, I returned to school to get a Masters in Art Education, adding photography and other media to my portfolio of offerings. Today, my love of art helps me create visual themes for my graphic design clients and teach my students to make beautiful fiber arts creations.

It is my philosophy that art is an expression of spirit, values and heart. It is my goal to offer a safe and non-​judgmental place for my student to express their creativity.
