Established in 2001.

Sunset Properties opened their first office in the lobby of the Dunes Condominium. After four years of managing the condo owner association & building and handling real estate sales & vacation rentals in the complex, Sunset Properties opened their second location in the Indies Condominium. Continuing their specialty, Sunset Properties performed the exact same duties in the Indies Condos. Two years later, Sunset Properties built a stand alone office on the only commercial lot in the Dunes Subdivision. Sunset Properties now handles multiple associations and buildings while becoming the Ft. Morgan specialist in real estate sales and rentals.

Sunset Properties is owned and operated by the husband and wife team of John Bobe & Karen Jernigan-​Bobe. Karen, who is fluent in American Sign Language, is a graduate of Florida State University. John, who owned and operated his first retail business at the age of 19, started at an early age dabbling in real estate. Together, they have been in the real estate business over 24 years. They were both born and raised on the coast, and their love for the area keeps them here. They started in Pensacola, Florida, then moved across the state line to Alabama. They specialize in the Fort Morgan area where they not only work, but they also call home. Sunset Properties handles sales, rentals, property management and association management with a focus on personal service. John’s & Karen’s mission statement is the basis for all their decisions:
