I utilize my graphic design services and creativity to turn an idea into a piece of outstanding work. I also work with individuals to create artwork for flyers, business cards, and other items that suit their professional or personal needs.

History

Established in 2004.

I established JJS Designs in 2004 but I’ve been a photographer for over 35 years and a graphic designer for 10 years. I’ve been a photojournalist for several newspapers and magazines. I have also worked with studio photographers. I have the knack of capturing distinctive features of my subjects.

I’ve done graphic design work which entails advertisements for small businesses, flyers for local business and personal personal business cards.

Business Owner

I was born in Detroit and now work in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. I have been a photographer for 35 years. My father got me hooked when I was young. Over the years, I immersed myself into the art of photography. As I progressed with my photography I became fascinated with capturing people performing their daily routines. I slowly became a voyeur as I snapped images of people caught in an instant moment.

My major influences are Diane Arbus and Eugene Atget. Both photographers were able to capture the essence of the moment and in doing so they captured a side of our lives that might go un-​noticed. The pages on this site, consists of images of a particular moment of time. Which were taken in the same fashion as Arbus and Atget.
