Grosse Pointe Laundry & Cleaners

I learned a lot about this dry cleaner and how they deal with problems. I dropped off a coat for repairs and cleaning, came back the day it was supposed to be done and it was no where to be found. Apparently it hadn’t been touched. I was told it still needed to be worked on and come back in 2 days, well I came back in 3 and again the coat was not ready because they wanted to know what color zipper I wanted (something that could have been resolved with a phone call). When I was promised my coat would be ready yet a 3^rd time, I came to the facility only to find the store was closed. They are supposed to open at 7am and I was there at 7am waited several minutes and still no one was there at 7:10. This seems to be a frequent occurrence with the morning opening. I finally was able to pick up my coat and was not offered any kind of compensation for the lack of professionalism or service.

I’m a little on the fence about this place. I’ve been giving my clothes to them for about two months. The staff are so friendly. The woman that works at the desk is always pleasant, knows my name and eager to have business.
However, they are pretty expensive. I wouldn’t mind the price if my clothes were ready on time. But the past two times I have given them my clothes, they have not been ready when I was told they would be. The first time, the lady in front said that one of my shirts had a stain on it so they wouldn’t have that one shirt for me. Which, is annoying, but I can deal. I at least got the majority of my stuff back. The second time, she told me that another shirt had a stain on it and that they hadn’t gotten all my clothes back from the other location where they clean them. That’s when I got annoyed.
In all fairness, she did drive to the other location and pick up my clothes. She told me to come back in an hour which I wasn’t able to do. It was just a hassle because I swing by on my way home from work.
I’m still deciding whether or not I’ll be going back.

Fantastic experience. The staff is friendly and helpful. My dresses came back soft and looking better than ever! And 3 of them for only $ 23! I highly recommend this place.
