Tried once more and still disappointing… Half full dining room, over an hour wait for breakfast. Had to just leave, waited over an hour and still no breakfast… Second time this has happened, will not return… Service was OK, but I think the kitchen is the weak link here. If you can’t get breakfast out even when packed in under 30 minutes… something is seriously wrong.

I ordered delivery, waited an hour, got poor quality food plus missing some stuff, and expensive for nothing. Terrible customer service. Not recommended!

BESTKEPTSECRET! Our fourth visit. Ordered the Bruschetta again and probably will every time. Tried the Bourbon Glazed Steak for the first time. The menu doesn’t tell you, but I’m guessing it’s a tenderloin. Fresh not frozen. My favorite! It was thick, tender, juicy and cooked perfectly. Loved it! It came with delicious REAL garlic mashed potatoes, bright green Broccoli cooked cooked to perfection and either soup or salad. I had the salad. Fresh and crisp. All of it YUMMY! Portion size is generous. All of that for $ 15.95. You can’t go wrong. When the word gets out The Point is going to have to start taking reservations. This restaurant isn’t fancy looking but it is clean. I look. No dust on the window blinds or ceiling fans, no crumbs in the crease of the booth. Floor and bathroom sparkling clean. FINALLY! Long pass due in this area. Finally we don’t have to travel far for great food. Thank you! Keep up the good work! We will be back to try other items on the menu.

The wife and I breezed in on a Sunday evening about 6pm. Very small and cozy bar area that had a few patrons and another couple and a family occupied a couple of tables in the dining room. Our waitress was fast and very friendly. We each had a white sangria which was tasty and refreshing, served in a large wine glass with cherries and a slice of orange and lime. My wife had the Corned Beef Reuben(which comes with a choice of regular, Cajun or sweet potato fries) and pronounced it the best Rueben she’s had to date. She should know. She enjoys them and we’ve had them in travels all over. I ordered the grilled steak sandwich on ciabatta bread with cheese and grilled red onions. Tender and juicy grilled steak makes this sandwich worth ordering and coupled with the enormous(and not greasy I might add) onion rings was more than enough for me. I was very pleased and will be going back again to sample something else from their menu.

Just had the most disgusting meal. We needed one hand for eating and one hand for swatting flies. My daughter’s chicken was inedible. Sent it back and was told it was muscle. 2nd piece of chicken was just as bad. They then proceeded to charge me for both meals. Owner stated that was just how the chicken is… nothing he can do about it. So much for customer service. I will never return!

Waited 45 minutes for a $ 22 breakfast. Omelet burned on the bottom, couldn’t get anybody to bring water or more coffee…4 egg omelette can NOT be made with fewer eggs because«it’s not allowed». Huh?

The short version: Haven’t had a meal there since it opened that didn’t have problems. It’s expensive for what you get. Not recommended. The Pro’s: It look great inside and the draft beer selection is pretty good(craft beers). Service is fine. The Cons: The food is either not cooked properly, overeasoned, or simply thrown together. Sometimes a combination of the above. The long version: My wife and I have eaten there 4 times since it opened — the most recent time was yesterday. Here are some examples. Yesterday’s Greek Salad: The stuffed grape leaves were frozen. The feta cheese came in large«crumble it yourself» blocks. We sent it back to thaw out the grape leaves and it returned with half the pita bread it went in with. My cheeseburger was underdone. The wait staff stopped being real friendly at this point. The french fries weren’t horrible but an extra $ 3 for a handful of fries seems a bit much. My wife had spaghetti with marinara sauce a few months ago and it had so much garlic in it you couldn’t taste anything else. I had a bacon cheeseburger at the bar during another visit. It was medium rare vice medium well and the bacon wasn’t cooked through. I’ve tried really hard to give this establishment a chance because I’d love to be a regular. It’s literally 2 minutes away from my house. Quality beers on tap around here is a rare thing.

Really like it here and keep coming back– close to home, good beer, food has always been delicious and friendly owner and staff. Nice small bar, very bright and clean and really like the blues music… BUT I could do without the hunting channel on 24÷7… Something about watching moose and deer getting shot and bloody while I’m eating makes me a little uneasy, lol.

Always a baby in the bar… ruins the atmosphere. Love babies and bars but not combined. Don’t want to drink a beer next to a kid in diapers on the side of me

The family and I drive by all the time and finally decided to stop in for lunch one day. The décor is very nice, and the dining area very clean. We all ordered burgers, which I have to say was one on the best burgers I’ve every eaten! I do think the prices are a bit high for the area though, especially for lunch.

Stopped in on Friday to have a beer while I was in town visiting my parents. I won’t ever be coming back here again. No air conditioning. The ONE girl working the restaurant had no idea what she was doing behind the bar. I asked for a shipyard summer draft, and I could see the keg kicked as she was pouring it. She had no idea, and handed me a pint glass with a quarter of beer and three quarters of foam. She set it in front of me, and asked if we were starting a tab. I asked if this was the beer she was giving me, and got annoyed that I wanted something else besides foam. NOTOK.

I’ve eaten here a few times. The service is NOT great at all. If your in a rush. do NOT eat here… the plus is the food is good. Although if you buy a burger you have to pay extra for the side of fries or any side for that matter. It is pricey for what you get!

I really wanted to like this place, the menu choices were great and the place was very comfortable and great looking. Once we were seated we were quickly told that the kitchen was backed up and it would be awhile. The place wasn’t busy at all so I was surprised by that but didn’t mind, we had nowhere else to be. It took another ten minutes before we were even approached to order drinks and after only ordering two sodas, it took another ten to receive them. We ordered two appetizers and they came out fast but weren’t great. Not worth making the trip back.

I’ve eaten here 2 maybe 3 times when I find myself out that direction and need a bite. The renovations are nice but the service leaves a bit to be desired. Seems slow(even when only a few people are there) and wait staff we’ve had act like its their first day on the job. The food is usually good and a nice mix of things on the menu just need to get better service! I’d give 3.5 stars if I could…

Wonderful surprise… I was pleasantly surprised with my visit to Turning Point last week. The service was good, very friendly! I had a hard time picking out something in the menu because everything sounded so good. What unique food choices?! I ordered the bacon, egg and cheese burger. It was delicious. I ordered a nice cold draft beer nice to see the different brands and not the standards ones you see everywhere. Would definitely go again.

My girlfriend and I stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to try it out. It’s a cute little place, very clean, and almost too bright and pretty for the clientele. The menu is good. Some interesting things thrown in to compliment the basics. My girlfriend got the clam chowder and chef salad. I got the clam fritters and greek salad. Everything was good. Even above average. Only major gripe with the food was that there was some clumps of flour in the chowder and it was misisng some good chunks of potato, but the flavor was good. The service, however, was horrible. In fact, I’m pretty sure that my ex-wife would have provided better service. We were there at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, and there were at most three other tables to attend to — far from busy. The server never greeted us, never got us the waters that we ordered(even after we asked twice), never checked up on us after we got our food, and brought out the two salads nearly 10 minutes apart. She never smiled. Another table had an issue regarding whether they were supposed to have fries with their order — so the server argued with the cook in full view and earshot of every table. Even when bringing the bill, she never said thank you for our business, just dropped the bill on the table and walked away. I’d love to see a little place like this survive, but with service like we received, it won’t.

We really want this restaurant to work out! Many businesses have tried and failed in this location. The owners of Turning Point have completely renovated the place, which is a huge step in the right direction. We have visited three times. First visit: Tuna Melt, Seafood Salad Mini’s, and shared Sweet Potato Fries. Everything was excellent! Especially the Sweet Potato Fries. Excellent! Second Visit: One Tuna Grinder for takeout. Only they don’t have tuna grinders on the menu. They only have 3 grinders on the menu. But, when I said I was craving a tuna grinder, they were happy to prepare one for me, and it was excellent. Third visit: Clam Chowder & Clam Cakes; Tuna Salad Mini’s with onion rings on the side; a Turning Point Salad. My mother said the soup was tasty, but not clam«chowder.» It was lacking chunks of potato and clams. Mostly broth. And the clam cakes were tasty, nicely crunchy on the outside, but smaller than clam cakes should be. My daughter thought the tuna minis were tasty, but a little dry. She liked the onion rings, but I tasted a couple and thought they were strangely sweet. My salad was ok, made from iceberg lettuce, which I abhor. The corn and hard boiled eggs were a nice addition, but I think any restaurant that uses iceberg lettuce needs to examine their intention to succeed. The salad would have been so much better if made with a nice green-leaf, red-leaf lettuce or some baby greens. They did not offer any of those. At first blush, it looked like a great addition to the area. Second and third blush, however, revealed a pretty limited menu. Get rid of the iceberg and use some real lettuce. Make a chowder with some body! This is New England! The last day we were there, it was about 95 degrees outside, and there were few cold offerings on the menu. Add a few wraps, maybe? We really want this restaurant to work out!!!
