We specialize in Wedding and Special Occasion Cakes, taking your ideas, and bringing them to life, as the centerpiece of your special event. We also create personalized wedding and party favors, such as cakeballs, chocolate dipped oreos, truffles, and novelty chocolates.

History

Established in 2000.

Chocolate Rose started out as a home based business, as a licensed bakery, in the top floor of a garage. We’ve created thousands of cakes since the business opened.

Chocolate Rose Bakeshop has been serving Griswold, Connecticut since 2000.

Our mission is to provide delicious food food the is a delight to the taste buds as much as it is to the eye in a warm, friendly, and professional environment.

Meet the Business Owner

Erin P.

Business Owner

Erin, the owner of Chocolate Rose, began making cakes for family and friends, after taking a Wilton Cake Decorating Course, in 1986. She decided to attend Johnson & Wales University in 1992, completing their Baking & Pastry Arts program, and graduating in 1996. She worked in the Foxwoods Resort & Casino Bakery for 3 years, and after producing tons of product, which included cheesecakes, brownies, sheet cakes, chocolate mousse, pudding, and more, she decided that she needed to allow her creativity more running room. She started her own business in the year 2000, after her husband, Bob, built a licensed bakery in the top floor of their two story garage.
