Subway

Stopped in at 9:30 PM on a Saturday night to grab a sandwich for my wife.
They were out of meatballs. So, I asked for a Chicken Breast sub instead and they were out of that too. Not cool. Restaurant 101: EVERY item on your menu should be available up until the minute you close. Even if that means you end up cooking something that may never get used. That’s just the cost of being in the restaurant business. This is Subway. It’s not exactly gourmet. So, I’m guessing their meatballs and chicken breast are frozen and the marinara is probably in a plastic bag. So, how long would it take to microwave those to serve? Maybe 5 minutes? This is a huge pet peeve of mine. If you’re not going to have everything available until closing time, then close earlier.
To top it all off. When I went to leave I tried to go out a door that was locked. The one next to it was unlocked. That just lazy. They have double doors and whichever employee opened up that morning unlocked one but didn’t want to bother with the other. In addition to being a Fire Code violation it’s also a pet peeve of mine. Unlock BOTH doors.
Unfortunately, this is just what I’ve come to expect from Subways. They sort of peaked in the mid 1990s and they’ve been downhill ever since. Fortunately, there have been several much better sandwich places that have stepped up and happily taken Subway’s former customers.
Restaurant was clean. Employee working was friendly.

This subway sucks! I went there this afternoon and when I walked in my shoes stuck to the floor. It was so sticky! Then when I ordered my sandwich and got the things I wanted on it the lady tried to fold the top onto the bottom but she couldn’t. Want to know why, well the bread was undercooked! I knew because of how it stuck to the paper and when I ate it, it was still doughy! It was disgusting! So when the lady realized she was ripping the sandwich into pieces she just cut it off the paper and with what was left of it cut if in half and put it in a basket and put napkins over it so I couldn’t see what had happened. Jokes on her I saw the whole fail. Then when I went to check out the other girl who was checking people out was so snotty! She gave me the «can you hurry up there are other people here» look. Then she gave me this smirk and said have a nice day then glared at me. Even one of the other customes saw it and we both laughed. But want to know what’s even better she had screwed up the pricing of my meal which was a 6′ meatball sub with chips and a soft drink and she had added some extra change on them so it was up to $ 12 freaking dollars!!! That’s unbelievable!!! I am never going to go back to that subway ever again! For the sake of your humanity, don’t go there! :)
