History

Established in 1994.

Founded by Ken Mistler, Oregon First was designed from the ground up to be client and broker centric. Our driving theory is that by removing the burdens of corporate structure while still providing the amenities, we produce agents who are responsive to the needs of their clients first.

It shows! Oregon First grew to be the largest, locally owned, independent brokerage in the State of Oregon; and, Since our founding, we have been consistently listed in the Portland Business Journal’s annual survey of Top Residential Real Estate Firms.

We have succeeded by concentrating on what’s really important, both to our brokers and their clients. It’s not about image or short term profits. Our business, like the business of real estate itself, is about long term gains earned through hard work, professionalism, and careful attention to our fiduciary duty.
