Had them package and ship a envelope. After them doing this, she said the total is and I paid. Problem is, I assumed, which I clearly regret, thought she would have sent my items with a tracking number. Instead she apparently shipped it through first class mail. Shocker, it turned up missing. When you provide a service day in, day out, you ought to know your field. I will never assume again. It’s my fault too. But, I feel after her packaging up my items, she should of charged or suggested sending it with insurance and with a tracking number. I bought two of the three items from them. She knew they had value.

I’m not overcharged as others here have mentioned. There are different services offered for packages — just be curetous about it and ask if there other available options.

Since Portland has post offices in other stores, something I had not encountered in other cities, I didn’t realize that this place was not a real US Post Office. They quoted me $ 30 to send a package that the USPS charges $ 20 for. And the package does not go by UPS or FedEx… what is this, some alternate mail system that no one needs and probably most people don’t realize they’re paying 33% extra for? We have a US Post Office. This place is completely unnecessary and overpriced.

Super nice people, but what a huge waste of money! I went there on a friend’s recommendation, and was pleasantly surprised by the lack of wait. However, I was shocked and amazed when quoted the cost to send my package by regular mail. They were going to charge $ 16 for the EXACT same service the post office provides for $ 5.35(both prices include a box and shipping regular mail). Not to mention they charge $ 0.52/stamp, so if you’re buying, say, 100 stamps, you’re paying $ 7 more to buy the stamps at this place than you would pay at the post office(or your local grocery store for that matter). I left and went to the post office instead, and was not happy when I saw the insanely long holiday line. But I timed my wait, and I was in line for less than 15 minutes, so it really wasn’t that bad. Especially considering the huge savings, something that’s definitely worth 15 minutes of my time(especially at this time of year!)

Mailbox Depot & Gifts goes above and beyond and definitely exceeds my customer service expectations every time I do business with them. I used to live right down the street from this location and when I moved 20+ minutes away I started doing business at the local shipping store and after just a couple of visits to the local store I experienced issues with the service and they didn’t come close to providing the friendly outgoing service I receive at Mailbox Depot & Gifts. Needless to say I drive the 20min very frequently, because the cost in gas pays off tenfold with the great service, competitive rates, and friendly greetings I am guaranteed the second I walk in the door. Mailbox Depot & Gifts is highly recommended by myself and everybody that I have sent there. Nothing but extreme excellence is provided by this business. Keep up the good work. Small businesses are the heart of America and places like this are the main reason.
