As a builder of new homes in the Portland metro area with many concrete flatwork vendors to choose from, I am extremely pleased to have partnered with this company. Jack has been awesome to work with. His attention to schedules, completion dates, and design is unmatched. It takes many vendors to build a home, Jack and his crews make the process of concrete painless. I highly recommend this company !

Rude and Sexist.
This morning, the constructions workers began at their lawful time at 7am, with their saws and hammers and banging. Thats the law, fine.
However, if such noise is going to be happening at such an hour, the neighbors have a right to know how long the construction job will be going on for. So, when I went down to go to work, I asked how long the job would be going on for.
The response I received from the person I assume to be the foreman was a dismissive and curt, «LADY, we can legally start at 7am, I don’t know what to tell ya.»
Well, thanks for being so defensive right off the bat. Furthermore, that was NOT the question I had asked. I asked how long it was going to take. Angered, I pressed on, asking if that meant that it was okay to completely disregard the rest of the neighborhood, like the children across the street or behind them, of the people who work at night who live below me and the next house over?
Again, I was met with no respect and a dismissive «LADY, I don’t know what to tell ya.»
Well, sir, you could have answered my question about the duration of the project and treated me with a little respect. I can guarantee you that if I had been a man, he wouldn’t have come out and said right away, «MAN, I don’t know what to tell ya.»
Rude and inconsiderate. So by all means, hire this company if you want to disrespect your neighbors and any woman who happens to ask them a question.

We needed to repair a portion of our foundation and replace driveway quickly because our basement was leaking. Our architect recommended Jack, the owner of J. W Glisson Construction. Jack was very responsive to our call for help. We gave him a deadline to complete the work and he completed the job timely,. Jack communicated regularly about the progress of the work and he was very responsive to our calls… Unlike other contractors I have used in the past. Jack and his courteous crew started the work and continued daily until they completed the project so that we had minimal disruption to the use of our basement living space and much needed off street parking. When Jack completed the job our basement was water tight. and we were left with a gorgeous driveway, which we always receive compliments on by jealous neighbors and guests. I highly recommend Jack for your remodel and concrete jobs.

My pool builder subcontracted to Jack’s company to build a 8×12 pool house. It took over three months, much rework of plumbing and framing, no planning, poor scheduling of materials, a very messy job site, complaints to me that he wasn’t being paid enough, endless arguments with his subs over how to build it, and the quality was absolutely horrendous. For a $ 105,000 pool, this pool house is an embarrassment. Stay away!
