Help was a little slow. Had the Philly cheesesteak with fries and a sweet tea. $ 15 with tip. Sat at the bar. It was okay. No electrical outlets to charge devices. Seemed like most of the wait staff was on the booth side and the bar was left to one lady who had to hustle. The others just strolled around and talked to one another. Two short order cooks ran the show. They seemed disorganized. Fries and Philly was great. Cheesy with great mushrooms.

Before opting to grab some food at Windows — I checked Unilocal.Seemed like most folks were good with their food experience here. So I opted to grab a snack before heading through the TSA Security Checkpoint — knowing that food options were even more limited beyond. I ordered a plate of Nachos. It was supposed to come with cheese, ground beef, lettuce, jalapeños, black olives and sides of sour cream and salsa. The Nachos came out — and the chips are were very greasy! There was very little cheese melted onto the chips. The plate of Nachos was barely warm. The Salsa tasted like it came out of a jar from the store. Bleah! How disappointing! The only thing that Windows has going for it from my one experience is that it is open and airy with lots of natural light — and a view of a fairly unique outdoor area directly adjacent to the restaurant — an outdoor patio with three pools of water with various water features spouting water. Pretty and relaxing. Service was fine. Find something else to order from the menu!

I have to admit being very pleased with the bacon cheeseburger I ordered here. Fresh, handmade burgers — no frozen patties, plentiful toppings(to include a good amount of bacon), fresh lettuce(not iceberg) and a side of crispy fries. Service was quick and friendly. Plenty of windows in the dining area looking out to a park like setting. I do agree with other reviewers that the dining area could use a facelift. It is dated and the chairs sit to low and seem to tip back a bit making eating a bit awkward. Also, although there is a nice outdoor area with benches, trees and a fountain/pond, that fountain/pond did not hold water, only nasty mud which to be honest was disgusting to look at. I can only imagine the bugs attracted to that muck. Going through security is a breeze and there is not much in either terminal so if you have some time before your flight and need a bite to eat, I definitely recommend stopping here. There is nothing fancy on the menu, just good simple fresh meals coupled with friendly service which makes Windows Restaurant A-OK to me!

Great open air restaurant at GSP! Menu has some good options but has not changed much in the 10 years I’ve been going through here! On the night I came through I had the mushroom burger with fries that was delish! I’ve also had the reuben sandwich and Cobb salad on other occasions! Both were as expected! Areas for improvement: New chairs could be a great upgrade! I’ve noticed the chairs are bent back and not the most comfortable to sit at! Need replacing! A new menu that has some different options! How about some more upstate or low country cooking? I’ve always thought airport restaurants should promote the food of the area! A redecoration! If Marty Mcfly took me back in time it would look exactly the same 10 years ago maybe the same even 15 years ago! Come on GSP airport you can do it!

Ordered some sweet potato fries while waiting for flights. They came out almost cold. Second batch was better but still short of being hot. Probbaly just tried to nuke them. But heh, I don’t have high expectations at an airport.

Overall I was happy with the Windows Restaurant at GSP. The restaurant itself has a very nice view. I had a Philly cheesesteak which was OK(maybe a bit greasy), but the sweet potato fries I had with it were very good. I also had peach cobbler and it was tasty as well. The unsweetened tea was very disappointing, it had no flavor. Prices were very reasonable, this place will not abuse you like many airport restaurants.

Flight Delayed or completely missed your flight? Maybe you are just waiting because you followed the TSA warning of arriving to the Airport 75min early so you can be groped for 30min? This is GSP International, you can show up 15min prior to your flight and still make it to the gate. No groping here and nothing but friendly TSA agents all around who use common sense and ignore who needs to be ignored and profile those that need to be profiled. So what to do with an hour to spare? You can spend it here at Windows Restaurant and Lounge. Why is it called Windows? Have a seat and face the damn Window! Simplicity at its best. You won’t find a burger with aioli sauce here or fries in duck fat. You will get a Burger made fresh and fries in iodized salt, you will sit down face that damn window, eat your food and you will love it! The nice young lady behind the counter will make sure you get plenty of mayonnaise packets and will assure your beer stays cold and refilled. A pleasant place to spend a couple of hours after missing my flight. Maybe I should allow more than 15min. The free upgrade to first class made all the difference. Since I am in a good mood thanks to the beer, burger and upgrade to first class. Windows you get 4 Ninja stars!

I had to add this place onto Unilocal, why they weren’t already on is beyond me. I had a cheeseburger which I think they’re known for, and it was SLAMMING!!! It was just like 5 guys, but better! The bun was not too bready and there was lots of meat. Toasted as well… For 9 $ you can’t go wrong!!! Must try this place!
