Great coffee, awesome servers. Stopped coming here because the lids in their small coffee size cups don’t fit and I always ended up spilling coffee on myself. I brought this up once but even months later they were still faulty.

Most genuinely friendly café staff I have ever met. Everyone who works here is consistently warm and awesome. I am so lucky to live next to this place! Thanks Craig!

Came early for a meeting in the neighborhood and had the luck to stop by this place to make some time. To my good surprise the coffee they serve is very good and prepared the right way. Nice place to visit if you are close by.

Delicious chai latte and possibly the friendliest customer service I’ve experienced in a Brooklyn coffee shop. They also have cortados, which is my favorite and so rare!

Tin Cup is tiny, but very good. They have a limited food menu consisting of sandwiches and pastries. I had a cup of excellent coffee and a really good scone for about $ 5. It seems to get a decent amount of traffic, but never gets too crowded. Good place to read and enjoy a coffee on a Saturday morning without being disturbed.

Normally I’d give it 4 stars, but who am I to bring a business’s rating down for a great experience? This neighborhood reminds me of Astoria 5 years ago, when nice coffee shops were hard to come by and you had to know where to go. I stumbled across Tin Cup on a warm day and opted for an iced green tea and yogurt parfait. Their parfait could have easily been phoned-in like other cafes’, but it was surprisingly fresh, not sugary sweet, and very delicious. The iced tea was also simple and not artificially sweet. I’m a sucker for a relaxed but clean ambiance, and this place is perfect for that. Windowside tabletops for a quick sip, and comfort chairs for savoring. The barista was pleasant. I’ll definitely drop by next time I’m in the area.

Five stars for the pastries here, easily the best in the area, as I mentioned in my review of nearby Roots Café. That said, I think Roots has slightly better coffee, so in my opinion these constitute the two best cafes in the area. You get A+ pastries and B+ coffee at Tin Cup, or A+ coffee and B pastries at Roots. Take your pick. That’s not to say their coffee is bad here, it’s actually quite enjoyable, but it seems like the focus is on offering food. I suppose I should try some of their sandwiches next.

We were happy to see a café shop pop up on 4th ave as many come and then many leave. A great addition to gentrify 4th ave. We did not notice this shop at first because it did not have a shop name but decided to come in for a sweet treat and refuel after a long walk through greenwood. The coffee is brewed well and very well priced compared to the franchise stores and other coffee places. The cookies here are amazing. We had an oatmeal raisin cookie that melted in your mouth and was moist and slightly chewy. There are a few people that bring their laptops and do work but there is still plenty of space for others to come, sip their coffee, and relax for a bit.

Cute little coffee shop with a nice sunny view of 4th ave. Their coffee does the job and is much better than their neighbor Dunkin Donuts.

This little café is a neighborhood gem! A great place to escape the cold and have a hot cup of coffee or if you just need a quiet space to get some work done. Craig, Penny & Ren make all the customers feel at ease and will chat it up with you if you’re feeling the need to vent. lol. Always a delightful experience, I try to make it in at least once a week to meet up with friends. The patrons are locals and pretty chill. Oh! Also great is they will add/accomodate to any of your coffee/dairy, nondairy preferences without any fuss! And the sandwiches are yummmm!

I moved out of the area but occasionally stop by when I have time. Tin Cup is the only place that can make a chai latte to my satisfaction. The Dunkin Donuts nearby is really bad so I really appreciate having a neighborhood coffee shop. The owners are really nice, as well as the regulars who stop by to study, read, or chat.

I love this place to get some work done, ie study! study! study!, while having excellent coffee. I also love the Tin Cup panini. I don’t know where they get their bread from but it’s so fresh and fluffy — same with the prosciutto! The owner’s son is so nice and thoughtful. I loved the latte sprinkled with… nutmeg…I believe? It’s definitely one of my favorite cafes in the area. Oh and great music is always playing too.

Came here every morning of my recent trip. So wonderful and cozy! The staff feels like old friends, so accommodating and polite. The coffee is fresh with plenty of options for milk(like soy, almond and organic) and sweetener(organic, stevia and agave) it was refreshing to feel like I could have what I have at home even on my trip. Even in a rainy morning they were happy and cheerful and it really helped lift my spirits :)
