A licensed attorney in both Indiana and Texas, Matt decided early on to stay true to his roots as a Hoosier and remain close to family in Johnson County, Indiana. For eight-​and-​a-​half years, Matt practiced at one of the largest law firms in the county where he focused on bankruptcy, consumer law, and general litigation. In 2015, Matt decided to make the leap and open the Law Office of Matthew M. Cree, where he remains dedicated to providing his clients with personal, caring service.

As a husband and father, Matt is dedicated to improving his community; both for his family and for others. An owner of four dogs and four cats, Matt serves president of the board of directors for the Humane Society of Johnson County. He is a 2010 graduate of Leadership Johnson County and also serves the community as a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Johnson County. He also is assisting with the development of a non-​profit destination marketing organization for the county as part of ASPIRE Johnson County.
