Since this office is close to us, and David Prudhomme and his wife, Debbie are our neighbors, I came here to have a comprehensive (x rays of every tooth and roots, digital photos of all teeth, cancer screening, teeth cleaned and inspected) exam in early December .
Dr Prudhomme is a well respected dentist who has a calm demeanor. He is thorough and very professional in his approach .
Unlike my other dentist, who jokes around quite a lot, by comparison, Dr Prudhomme is much more serious. .
For many years, we went to Earl Turner. Dr Turner retired and I was very used to him joking around quite a lot. This aspect became important to me and it did help me, personally. The silly remarks and jokes were disarming and that helped allay my deep fear and distrust of dentists .
Because I have a long history of dental
Abuse (from my childhood) that still haunts me today, I decided to return to my former dentist in Baton Rouge. He uses a lot of humor in his practice. This is what I am used to, and what actually helps calm my fears.
However, this in no way impacts my admiration and respect for David Prudhomne! David is a good dentist and has a lot of patients who adore him.
He’s a good father and a very Christian man. He and Debbie are exemplary citizens of Central.

Dr P treated me with respect and with professionalism. I highly recommend him and his fine staff.
This is my experience. Not all clients have ptsd or panic attacks at the dental office or after they leave the office.
I reiterate that this office, also known as Central Oaks, has a caring staff with Dr David Prudhomme at the helm.
Lastly, as far as pricing, this office is very fair and accepts most dental insurance policies.
