History
Established in 2001.
In 2000, a ECU School of Business student was in the Wendy’s drive-thru ordering a Double Stack. He saw an empty retail space beside the Campus Store gas station and knew it would be a great spot to put something for his classmates. He just didn’t know what. So six months of planning and research ensued. With help from friends, family and a great business partner, a new business called The Sunshine Factory opened it’s doors on February 21st, 2001. Fast forward a few years and the newcomer salon in that little spot beside the gas station was busting out of the seams with business. It was time to grow. So they purchased land a couple of doors over and the two story building you see today was designed and constructed. Top to bottom, it was created from scratch with you, our tanning customers in mind. And thanks to you, we’re consistently voted the #1 tanning salon in Greenville, NC. In 2014, women’s fashion was added as well, to compliment the needs of our ever growing client base.
