We treat a wide variety of conditions for both men and women, so it is always best to call if you have a question about a specific diagnosis. some of the most common conditions we treat are: male & female pelvic pain, biofeedback for urinary or fecal incontinence, post-mastectomy/post-surgical breast care, pregnancy-related pain, incontinence, treatment of lymphedema, vaginismus/dyspareunia, cold laser therapy, and mastectomy products & fittings.
History
Established in 2008.
Avila Physical Therapy for Women’s Health was founded in 2008 by Allyson Daugherty, PT, CLT, CFm. The vision for the practice was to develop a warm, caring, and understanding place for people with issues that arise as a result of various men’s and women’s health issues including pelvic pain, incontinence, osteoporosis, lymphedema, and prenatal/postpartum care.

Business Owner
Allyson has lived in Greenville, NC since 1998. She worked at Vidant Medical Center for 9 years. She then went into private practice and opened her own clinic after only 2 years. She has been providing guest lectures in the ECU DPT program and in the community on Women’s Health topics for nearly 10 years. As well as being a physical therapist, she is also a certified lymphedema therapist and certified mastectomy fitter. Her work and family keep her very busy, but she enjoys practicing yoga, biking, and Pilates. Her hobbies include reading and working in my garden. She has been a member of Women for Women for over 5 years.
