Grace’s is a family business that operates much differently than other catering and food services you have found. For the past 25 years, Grace’s Marketplace has become the standard for quality foods & customer service on the Upper East Side. The Doria Family has catered — literally & figuratively– to some of the most discerning palates in the world. However, our services and products are not just for gourmet aficionados. Everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the finest products Grace’s has to offer. Grace’s Marketplace prepares over 80 ready-​to-​eat prepared dishes, fresh breads, pastries, fish, meats, cheese, and the finest produce Long Island has to offer.

Grace’s parents, Louis and Maria Balducci, opened the legendary Balducci’s Market in Greenwich Village while Grace was still learning to walk.

At age 17, Grace met Joseph Doria as he relocated from Italy to work for Balducci’s. Over cash registers and boxes of produce, they fell in love & eventually married in 1957.

In 1985, Grace and her husband decided to venture out beyond Balducci’s and began their own venture, Grace’s Marketplace, in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Grace and Joe began their own legacy and quickly became a neighborhood treasure and authority in fine gourmet.

In the fall of 2008, Grace and her six children brought Grace’s Marketplace to Greenvale, Long Island. Offering the same service and quality her customers have come to expect, Grace now operates a business where her and her family reside.

Expanding the business only as fast as her family grows, Grace’s Marketplace keeps the charm of a true family-​run Marketplace.
