Planned Parenthood Health Systems

I haven’t been here in two years and they’re still nice to me when I call. They also faxed a prescription for an emergency birth control refill to my CVS in Maryland, a service that my normal OBGYN refused to provide.
To my knowledge, this Planned Parenthood was one of the first places in North Carolina to offer free does of Gardasil (the HPV vaccine). Despite dealing with a lot of panicked college students, everyone here is knowledgeable, professional, and polite in person and over the phone. They’re funny, too.
As an added bonus, there’s an old Rolling Stone featuring a Galaxy-​of-​Hip-​Hop diagram in the lobby. This is a great way to blow 20 minutes while waiting for you friend to pick up her Plan B. They also offer more traditional Planned Parenthood reading material in Spanish and English.
My only complaint is that they have weird hours (Wednesday 10 – 7; Thursday 9 – 1) so check the website (
