It’s sad to see what this theater has become. When this theater was built it was amazing, had nice seating, quality theater rooms, good food, nice upstairs bar, and adult seating. Wow has it changed. I have gone twice in the last week and I’m pretty sure it will be my last. The first movie I went to see all the adds, and local events were months out of date. The theater room smelled like I was in a musty basement, it was very dirty, and the seats were torn. When we bought our tickets at seven the kitchen was already closed. After we got out of the movie at 9 the theater was closed and no staff or employees were around and lights were turned off. The second movie I went to the theater room was once again dirty, and adds were still months out of date, but what was so bad was it was so hot and the ac never cut on, the ceiling tiles were gone and you could clearly see where the hvac unit had leaked all over the tiles when it actually worked. When you go into the theater it’s a large lobby full of worn out tables and chairs and very dingy stained carpeting. The upstairs bar is also no longer open. Service is ok, but it’s a theater all you need is popcorn(which they even manage to screw up popcorn) a ticket and a drink. Being that I have come to this theater alot in the past it’s surprising how quickly it has gone down. Still they do stay pretty current with the movie showings, but I still would rather go to university 16 at Epps Bridge in Athens for a movie.

Went for a movie at 9:40pm. It didn’t start until 9:55. No coming attractions were shown. When it did finally start, there was 0 volume. I notified the children operating the theater, who told me it would be immediately resolved. A few seconds after I returned to my seat, the picture froze. I waited a few minutes to see what the kids running the place were up to. I was told by the lead kid that he called the manager who was up in the projection booth on the 3rd floor. He further claimed that he called the manager 4 times but alas, the calls were going straight to voice mail. I asked why he didn’t actually go to see the manager rather than call him. I was told that the 3rd floor is only for managers and that there is no remedy available beyond calling. We took our ticket stubs to the front of the theater where another child refunded our $ 20 Parkside Main 8 Theater makes an excellent argument to wait for a movie to appear on cable or become available at Redbox. Since the managers were unavailable to us, perhaps a letter to their registered agent will prove useful? Registered Agent Name: Schmidt, Richard W. Some fraternity brothers and I came here in 2010. I was blown away by the quality of this place. It was clean and big. There was a bar. I don’t remember the pricing, so it must not have been too bad. It is kind of out in the middle of nowhere, but it is top quality. Lastly, the seats were the most comfortable seats I have ever experienced in a movie theatre. Take these 5 stars. You have earned it.
