If you go to HH Gregg, avoid working with Jason Harmon. We walked in probably five minutes after they opened and went straight to the service desk. We began talking to another employee with our routine questions, but he took our papers and said he’d do it. There were maybe five employees standing around the service desk, doing nothing the entire hour we were there, except Jason. Instead of helping us right away, he started answering the phone every time it rang. A company called regarding snow removal, a spouse called about a trivial matter, someone called about store hours, someone called about if a product was in stock, etc, you get the idea. Meanwhile, we are still waiting, and good old Jason would not let any of the other employees, still doing nothing, help us. Finally, after almost a full hour, he took pity on us, and took the thirty seconds to solve our problem. If I could give them a zero star, I would, just because of this Jason. I had to listen to him spell his name several times, and do things other employees could have done, rather than keep customers waiting. Its a wonder why so many people are going to shop online to avoid this type of rude customer service. Hope I never have to walk into this store again. Thanks, Jason, you’re a real customer service winner!

Hh Gregg sucks. Bought a TV. The remote didn’t work with the TV. Couldn’t get past the initial setup because of it. Went down and swapped for another remote. Still didn’t work. Called Hh Gregg to see if a repair guy could be sent out since I had to pay someone to install and hang the TV. They don’t do service calls for this kind of thing it turns out. So I had to take the TV down and run it back to the store for another trip. Anyone who knows me knows I ain’t got time for this crap. The service was standoff and unconcerned. I’m done with this cray place.

I have been to this store about three times in the past year. Each time, I creepily get followed around by a salesman. I’ve been there to look at their electronics selection and their mattresses. When you’re testing out mattresses(you’re in a vulnerable state!), the last thing you want is a salesperson staring down at you or peeking around the corner every 2 minutes. While looking at the TVs, a rep spoke to me but didn’t seem able to provide any additional information about the TVs or any comparisons between products. Although they have a decent selection, the prices were generally higher than Best Buy, even for identical items.

The buying process at HH Gregg was a pleasant experience. I had a very friendly and knowledgable salesman who was not pushy at all. He took me to every washer and dryer in the store and let me decide, and did not steer me in a certain direction. After having my washer for a week I had an issue with the machine. I contacted LG to set up a warranty repair. I was contacted by the local repair service and they advised the part would not be available until the next month. I then contacted the manager at HH Gregg and advised him of my situation. Per LG’s suggestion, the manager swapped out the machine with a new machine. Therefore I would like to commend the staff for their efforts to address the issue and solve it without any resistance. It has been a while since I have experienced customer service of this level. I recommend HH Gregg and will return for future purchases!

Pushy, confrontational sales staff. Greensboro, NC, store, May 11, 2013. I wanted to purchase a Yamaha Receiver. There was an «Open Item» on the shelf and the clerk said that was all they had. I inspected the«Open Item» and it was missing parts, so I declined to buy it and started to leave. The clerk asked me to wait, and he went in the back and«found» a new one. I agreed to buy it. He sat at his computer to initiate the sale and asked for my phone number. I told him I don’t give out my phone number, and he got up and went to his floor supervisor. The supervisor came up to me and said that they needed my phone number. I told him I don’t give out my phone number or email address. He insisted I give him the number. He then stepped in close to my face and angrily demanded that I explain to him why I would not give out my personal information. I stepped back, and told him, «Best Buy has the same item, I’ll go buy it there.» I then walked out the door, went to Best Buy, and had a pleasant buying experience with no hassles. I’ll never go to Hh Gregg again
