History
Established in 2013.
Classic Import Auto Service originated as Classic Import Service established in 1990 and was operated by Bob & Mary Heybrock. In 2013 it was restarted with a slight name change and operated by Bob Heybrock & John Barnes. Bob started in the professional auto repair business in 1983 then began working on Mercedes in 1986 and in 1987 decided to tackle Jaguars after restoring his own 1976 XJ6L. John holds a Bachelor of Industrial Design degree from NC State University and worked for Bob while Classic Import Service was in existence. He then spent time teaching automotive customizing technology at a community college specializing in fabrication, painting & restoration.

Business Owner
Bob Heybrock and John Barnes established Greensboro’s latest edition of Classic Import Auto Service in July of 2013. At the time, Bob was using space in a local towing company and John had just resigned from a job with a community college. Both wanted to focus on their mutual love for working on classic cars and imports.
Their dream became a reality when they found the location at 112 Winola Court in Greensboro, and they wasted no time purchasing the necessary equipment and setting up shop.
