Sue was fantastic! I had a strapless bridesmaid dress that was way too big. She tailored it perfectly! It fit perfectly, and I danced all night without worrying about adjusting the top. She did a great job and was able to do it in a timely manor.

I worked with Sue recently to have my wedding dress altered. Her work was meticulous and so well done — from the complicated hemline to the bustle to the beaded belt which she attached to my dress! The price point for the work she did was also very reasonable. I was so impressed with her and everything she did and would definitely go back! Thank you, Sue!

I worked with Sue to get major alterations and changes done to my wedding dress and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. I bought a vintage dress from Etsy that I thought fit me well, but once I took it to Sue she made the necessary changes to make the dress much more flattering. As the look of the dress was a little outdated she worked with me to redesign and remake the neckline and sleeves for something that fit my personality. It’s a disappointment that the wedding was only one day, since the dress is so comfortable and beautiful that I want to wear it everyday.
Sue is a pleasure to work with. She was patient and knowledgeable. I came to her with only a vague idea about what I wanted and she helped guide me towards a dress design that I loved. She worked within my modest budget and dealt with all kinds of unexpected hangups that come from working with a vintage dress made from a wonky synthetic fabric. I recommend her to anyone who needs major dress alterations or remaking.

I can’t say enough good things about Sue and how she works. The minute I met her I knew that she was the one that I needed to work on my dress. She is completely professional, reasonable, detail oriented, and personable. She takes the time to make sure that everything is to your liking each step of the way, providing her opinions on what will make YOU look best, while even critiquing her own work till it comes out just right.
When I decided that I was going to buy my dress from The Brides Project (an organization that donates 100% of proceeds to families of cancer), I knew that there would be some extra work to be done for it to be my perfect dress.
Sue works from a small, clean and organized workshop in her home.
Sue turned my strait neckline into a sweetheart, brought up a very challenging hemline, did an 11 point bustle, new zipper, removed a front overlay, added lace and a belt and all the other small details necessary in order to make an already beautiful designer gown into the most stunning piece of clothing I’ve ever worn.
Additionally, when my father became very ill and we weren’t sure he would be at the wedding, she even rushed to finish all the alterations early so that I could take some pictures with him before his chemo medication kicked-​in. I will cherish those photos forever because my dad still looks like himself!
To top it all off, because of all the calamity, i lost a lot of weight. She adjusted the dress as we went (a few sizes down!) and made sure that It would fit me like a glove – even making a standby appointment closer to my wedding date in case my weight were to flux again.
I can’t thank Sue enough for being a kind ear and a calm and gentle soul throughout this whole wedding process. I was so grateful to work with someone who thinks of every detail. She was one of my favorite people to work with in the course of wedding planning (you meet a lot of not nice people when wedding planning!). I would gladly recommend her to anyone who needs a seamstress. My dress was gorgeous and I felt like the most beautiful bride!

I found Sue on Unilocal and I’m so glad I went to her! I was to be a bridesmaid in a wedding 2weeks after my expected due date. I went to Sue as soon as I received my dress and let her know the situation. We set up 3 fittings as soon as we could after baby an still have it done in time for the wedding. she was so accommodating to my schedule and was able to work within the short time frame. What Sue did in those 2 weeks was awesome and for a reasonable price. Being a new mom and having to stand up in a wedding was stressful enough. I’m so appreciative of Sues work and making the dress fitting a pleasant experience. Will definitely recommend and use her in the future!

My experience working with Sue was absolutely delightful. As I was working overseas, she only had two weeks to alter my wedding dress. This would have been a real challenge for many, but Sue pulled it off, and it looked great!
Sue also made my experience even more pleasurable by offering various different suggestions to the alteration, while listening to what I wanted. In the end, I ended up with a magnificent dress that I truly felt was my own.

Sue was amazing! My daughter purchased here wedding dress in January but when it arrived she was overseas and she would only have 10 days to have it altered before her wedding. Sue was able to meet with us, have her first fitting and make some pretty complicated alterations in less than 10 days. The dress was lace and needed hemming, a belt added inside of the dress to keep it from sliding down, a little out at the back of the dress and taken in at the sides. Altering a gown is not cheap but it was well worth it. My daughter looked stunning and it will be a day she will never forget!!! Thanks Susan.

I had a cocktail dress I really liked, but was now too big for me. Sue really worked with me to identify the areas that troubled me and make recommendations on getting just the right fit. I am very happy with how the alterations turned out and I received many compliments on my dress. Not only will I use her services again, but am certainly recommending her for all your alteration needs.

Planning a wedding is a process, and while nothing is perfect, you really hope that each part of the experience is a great memory, and a nice experience. Going to Sue for my alterations was the perfect choice! Our fittings were fun and relaxing. My multiple bridesmaids toted along for each of my two fittings. Sue was gracious and professional. I love her studio as well. Very cute.
Sue was a delight to work with and her skill as a seamstress was flawless. I brought my size ten wedding dress to be completely re sewn to a size 2! She also altered all of my bridesmaid dresses too! She showed professionalism, timeliness, proven craftsmanship and was a delight over all. I trusted her completely, and received a dream dress, perfectly tailored. Thanks Sue!
