Joyful Arts Studio offers, art lessons, painting classes in watercolor, acrylic or oils, wine glass painting, drawing, collage, mixed media, pen & ink, jewelry making and design, corks & canvas painting parties. We offer a full gallery of Susan Shaffer’s work. Gift items are handmade by Susan Shaffer and include note cards featuring her original art, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, handpainted wine glasses and glassware. We cater to the inexperienced painter, providing detailed instruction, hands on assistance from the instructor, all supplies, brushes and paints are provided with our project classes.

Susan specializes in providing therapeutic art lessons to women, men, cognitively impaired persons, autistic children and those suffering from post traumatic stress disorder.

History

Established in 2012.

Joyful Arts Studio was opened in an effort for Susan Shaffer to commit to creating artwork every week. The studio quickly became a full-​time business for Susan. Susan feels passionately about the therapeutic value we receive when when we create.

Intuitive painting is now being taught as an expressive means to provide a therapeutic exercise for women.

Business Owner

Susan has been an artists for most of her life. She began her art career as a decorative artist in 1986. She moved into the fine arts arena in 1992. She has taught art for nearly 20 years. She returned to college and graduated with her undergraduate in Fine Arts in 2010.
