My son got referred by our trusted team of Dr Dorostkar and Dr Gorton to have another tooth extracted. Again, just like last time, we promptly received out appointment. Now that we are on the frequent flyer plan, I feel confident saying that Dr Mynsberge delivers consistent, competent, thoughtful, service with a smile. Everything went as smoothly and easily as last time.

Had to have tooth pulled — everything was great from the procedure to the paperwork.

He’s amazing and so are his staff! We were sent to Dr. Mynsberge from our pediatric dentist after my toddler son fell and jammed his entire front tooth back up into his gums. Dr. Mynsburge and his entire staff were warm, welcoming, professional and reassuring. What more could I have asked for in a situation like that? Would absolutely recommend and would go back if we ever needed to see an oral surgeon again. They were all amazing.

Came in to have a back molar removed and the staff and Dr Matt are all excellent, amazing people. I didn’t get my assistant’s name but she went over all my post op procedures and answered my questions. The procedure its self was painless and quick! Dr Matt always checked on me during to make sure I was ok and called that evening to make sure I was recovering well.
Very thoughtful, genuine, caring staff! Oral surgery is not fun, but this office will do everything to make it a smooth experience! Thanks Dr Matt and staff!

I have been meaning to get this darn tooth pulled for 2 YEARS NOW. The bonus of being a total procrastinator is that I got to interview 4 different oral surgeons. Dr. Mynsberge was the 4^th surgeon I spoke with and totally made me feel comfortable enough to finally bite the bullet! I am so glad I went with Dr. M! I not only needed the tooth pulled but also a bone graft. I was in and out in 45 minutes, which felt crazy fast considering how gentle and patient her was at getting the tooth out. He «stretched» the tooth out, instead of yanking it out. I don’t know if oral surgery could possible feel any less painful. The rest of the staff is super nice and professional as well, my husband even made a comment about how nice everyone was to him when he came to pick me up. I will be going back to Dr. M when I need to get my implant… and I wont put it off for years, now that I know I don’t need to be so scared :-)

Who writes a review on an oral surgeon? I guess 15 other people, what a breath of fresh air this guy was. Having never seen him before, your nervous. He explained things, wasn’t condescending, seems glad to help the people with problems. I wish other Dr’s would sit in on one of his office visits. Gooo Matt, don’t become jaded its easy to be like the rest, I’m happy and I was a self — pay !

The Best of the Very Best
Dr. Mynsberge and his staff are extraordinary. The level of kindness, expertise, professionalism, knowledge and care seem like they would be impossible to replicate anywhere. This doctor is remarkable in all respects. I (senior citizen) had a difficult procedure for a complicated diagnosis. Dr. Mynsberge and team were amazing. I recommend them with all my heart and health. If other health providers were this good, the world would be an amazing place. It is an honor to be a patient there.

Dr. Mynsberge is absolutely the BEST!!! He operated on my fourteen year old daughter and took her wisdom teeth out a couple weeks ago and he is truly amazing. His skills are incredible and he is the happiest doctor you will ever meet. We are very blessed to have found him. :-)

I had to have an abscessed tooth pulled. Not fun, but what a wonderful experience it ended up being. I have always had a fear of dentistry, plus having a very bad experience recently. Dr. Mynsberge and his staff really make you feel like they care. Each bed has it’s own widescreen TV the Dr. can show you Xrays and 3D scans on to explain what is going on, then during the procedure the Dr. logs into his own Netflix account so you can choose what you want to watch! I can’t say enough. I have no insurance and they offered an easy payment plan, and he prescribed me the more affordable antibiotics since I was on a budget. After each visit the doctor personally called me to see how I was doing. I cannot say enough about these guys.

I have to preface this review with: I was bummed that I even had to deal with an oral surgeon for my son, and went into it with a bad attitude. My 6 year old had a filling done (in his baby tooth) at his pediatric dentist. It fell out a month or so later. I went back to the pediatric dentist and they couldn’t explain why the filling came out and now his bone and tooth are receding. Said it could be an allergic reaction to the filling, but they aren’t sure. They said it now had to be extracted and referred us to Dr. Mynesberg. And by the way, says the pediatric dentist, he has another cavity that needs to be filled. Huh? I’m now in over $ 1000 on a baby tooth and it could be an allergic reaction to the filling, but sure lets try it again.
On to Dr. Mynesberg… He was great with my son, enthusiastic, and timely. The extraction took a short time and he and his staff were accommodating to my son’s specific condition. They found his favorite cartoon and he watched it throughout the procedure with no problems. His assistant was understanding and very sweet with us (I can’t remember her name as it was 7 am). I thought my son would be swollen and worn out afterwards but he was just fine. When he walked out of the procedure a woman in the waiting area asked what he had done and when I told her she said «wow, he looks great.»
Dr. Mynesberg called that evening to check on the little patient, as he mentioned when we left.
I’m hoping we don’t have to see him for many more years, if at all, but if we need an oral surgeon we will be calling Dr. Mynesberg and his staff!

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Mynsberge and his staff! On the Friday before Thanksgiving, I had a bad tooth infection that had also spread into my sinus, and I needed emergency surgery. I had never been to Dr. Mynsberge before, but my dentist, who is in San Francisco, arranged for me to see Dr. Mynsberge that morning as I live in San Rafael, and his office agreed to fit me in between the many other surgeries that day. I’m sure I was the oldest patient in that day as everyone else was college students home for Thanksgiving break having wisdom teeth removed.
I was very sick that morning from the infection, and the staff at his office made be feel as comfortable as possible while I waited for Dr. Mynsberge to see me. When he did see me, he made me immediately feel comfortable and I knew I was in good hands. He explained to me what he would do as far as removing the tooth and draining the infection. He also assured me that he would give me something to help my extreme nausea during the surgery. All went smoothly, and Dr. Mynsberge called me about 9:00 that night to follow up with me as he was just leaving his office after a full day of removing wisdom teeth.
I am so grateful to him and his wonderful staff for fitting me in for emergency surgery on one of their busiest days of the year. I’d like to also give a special shout out to Shannon, who assisted Dr. Mynsberge with the surgery and also saw me for my follow up visit a few days later.
I highly recommend him to anyone who needs oral surgery. I saw quality, compassion, and professionalism in everyone I encountered at his office. That’s not something one can say too often these days.

Dr. Matthew’s and his staff were nothing short of amazing! I have a daughter with dental phobia and she needed extra work prior to her braces being applied. They were kind, patient, caring and empathetic. We really felt respected and listened to and that our needs and concerns were met with genuine care and concern. I have been in the health care field for over 20 years as an RN, and trust me, those qualities are lacking! I would highly recommend the Dr. and his staff for any dental services you or your loved ones may require! :)

«Grateful» and «Gratitude» are words that come to my mind for Dr. Matthew Mynsberge and his entire office staff. I have never experienced such exceptional compassionate care anywhere. A hiking accident during my visit to the North Bay left me deeply traumatized with a broken upper jaw and teeth shoved up into my skull. The ER doctor at Marin General Hospital referred me to Dr Mynsberge. It was on a Friday afternoon. Although his staff had left for the weekend, they came back to the office to assist Dr Mynsberge with emergency oral surgery. The kind and reassuring manner of Dr Mynsberge and his assistants made me feel as if I’d fallen into a net of angels. Their compassionate approach went beyond the surgical procedure itself. They took excellent holistic care of me in body, mind, and spirit. Dr. Mynsberge’s command and expertise was apparent from the start, and his strong but caring manner was deeply calming and healing to me. His dental assistants were gentle and caring not only for me, but also for my partner, who was distraught. Dr Mynsberge is a master oral surgeon. He called to check on me many times throughout my recovery period. He was kind and caring. He listened to all my concerns and explained everything I needed to know. He was always accessible when I had questions or concerns, even after hours. I will see him again if ever I need oral surgery in the future.

Dr. Mynsberge recently performed a biopsy on a cyst in my jaw area. He was extremely communicative about the whole process, listening attentively and answering all questions thoroughly; he is a very caring person with a warm & reassuring bedside manner — not easy to find anymore in the health field. I felt very safe and at ease in his care. Whenever I’ve had questions about anything he’s encouraged me to email him and always gives a prompt and thorough reply. As I’ve moved forward looking for an oral surgeon who can take on my next surgery, Dr. Mynsberge has encouraged me to keep him informed of my progress and to let him know if I need his assistance with anything. Dr. Mynsberge goes above and beyond the call of duty, and is not only an excellent dentist/​oral surgeon, but a caring one too. His staff was also very helpful, professional, and communicative, helping me navigate the insurance maze, etc. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Mynsberge!

A++ I highly recommended Dr. Mynsberge and his staff for any of your oral surgery needs. Dr. Mynsberge implanted a tooth for me. The tooth is located in the front of my mouth and was missing for over 5 years with serious loss of bone and and gum tissue. Dr. Mynsberge resorted the bone in my jaw with a bone graph and resorted my gum tissue with a gum graph. Dr. Mynsberge has given me the confidence to smile freely again without worrying about exposing my missing tooth. I owe a lot of my confidence to Dr. Mynsberge and his staff truly a professional office.

I have to start by saying that my experience was actually life changing…
I have an overwhelming fear of anesthesia and surgery plus an irrational fear of dentists, so when my wisdom teeth got infected I just about lost my mind worrying over what I was going to do. I was greeted with the sweetest, most friendly and helpful staff who helped me find an affordable solution WHILE making me laugh and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Mynsberge is positively wonderful, his sensitivity and sense of humor immediately put me at ease. He listened to my concerns, explained everything that was going to happen in detail with terms I understood. The staff were so gentle and incredibly kind, even though I was absolutely terrified. One of the staff, Jordan, even held my hand (as per my request) and told me jokes as I was going under, I was comfortable and happy and I am seriously no longer afraid of anesthesia! I could not say enough about the incredible people who work here, and I absolutely love Dr. M! I wish I could thank the staff personally for what they did for me, and for the amazing service I received! I recovered so quickly and when I accidentally knocked my pain killers into a sink full of dirty dishes Dr. M called me and set me up with a replacement within an hour… He is so kind and thorough! He called me a few hours after I got home to make sure I was settling in ok and check my pain levels, he goes above and beyond to help ensure his patients are well taken care of, that’s a rarity in today’s world. I’m absolutely thrilled to have found him and I thank him for everything he did for me, and I thank his staff for their kindness and and support.

Dr. Mynsberge made my 16 year old son and myself so at ease during his recent wisdom teeth removal because of his calm, caring and intelligent explanations
about the surgery. His healing was so excellent his Orthodontist couldn’t even tell he had the teeth removed 10 days afterwards.
His skill, warmth, sense of humor and energy made us know we picked the right guy to take out my son’s teeth!
I can’t forget to mention how nice, thoughtful and professional his whole staff is! In every aspect of my son’s experience in Dr. M’s office we found great, kind and helpful people.
We couldn’t be more pleased we went to Dr. Mynsberge!

This has got to be the most amazing service I have ever received! Dr. Mynesberge and the staff were just ridiculously amazing. Talk about people that love what they do! Jordan, the assistant is wonderful, attentive and very professional!
I had my wisdom tooth extracted about a week ago. The procedure was supposed to take 45 minutes but I swear it felt like 5 minutes. He told me to pick a dream and then BOOM, woke up and told me it’s all over! I thought he was kidding! He walked me to the recovery room and explained to me and my wife post op instructions. He even help me walk to my car! They called in my pain prescription upon arrival to the office, so by the time I went down the street to pick them up, the lovely Walgreens staff had it all ready for me. To put the cherry on top, I receive a call from Dr. Mynesberge in the evening to check on my status, ensuring if I was doing okay. Talk about TOP NOTCH SERVICE! I was just blown away by the courtesy and professionalism that he portrays; and he is so sincere. He’s also a very talkative and funny guy too. Hell, I wish I could work for him.
A great man with a great staff. Oral surgery will never get better than Dr. Mynesberge. I HIGHLY recommend going to him for your oral surgery needs.

Amazing was what my son wrote on a piece of paper right after surgery. Dr. Mynsberge was so awesome. I think he has a way with teenagers who get their wisdoms pulled and it was a great experience all around. If I had to have mine pulled out again I would go there. The staff, the patience, the waiting room — ALL WERE AMAZING. And Dr. Mynsberge is very cute too :)
My daughter is next… we will go there again no doubt.

Dr. Mynsberg is now working with Dr. Bennett and he is terrific. Young, personable and knowledgeable, (Not a surgeon myself but he seemed to know his stuff). My daughter had no problems with her wisdom teeth removal. Follow up was great and the front office was wonderful. What’s not to like?
