One Mercantile specializes in creating a unique collection of items that are vintage-​inspired, eco-​friendly, & hand-​picked from small producers all over the world including many local artists!

History

Established in 2013.

One Mercantile started out as a means to showcase work from small producers around the country and the world and create a collection of goods unique to our area. Many items come from companies with less than five employees. We believe this truly supports the need to shop small!

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Abby & Andy both grew up in the Berkshires. Abby is a graduate of MassArt and has a background in photography and a love for art and design that is showcased in the curation of the shop. Just prior to opening One Mercantile she worked building and designing ukuleles in nearby Sheffield. The shop is the second retail store for Andy, who had previously started a vintage clothing store right out of high school that was in Great Barrington for 13 years.
