Description

Specialties

We are a classic 1960 motorlodge, converted in 2011 to a hip and homey b&b for today’s travellers.

(We have two dog-friendly rooms: if you’re travelling with your four-legged friend please call us BEFORE booking so that we can make sure we have a suitable room for you.)

History

Established in 2011.

We totally renovated this classic 1960 building when we bought it three years ago. It has been in continuous operation as a motel since it was built, and before that a campground stood on this site — visitors have always been drawn to our unique view of Monument Mountain and our convenient location on route 7 between Great Barrington and Stockbridge.

Business Owner

We moved to the USA from London in 2011 to renovate and open the Briarcliff. Our background is in interiors magazines, and our aim was to blend a little of our European style with the rustic beauty of the Berkshires to create a place that offers style and comfort at a reasonable price. We love to share the best of the area with our guests, especially where to find the great farm-to-table food that the Berkshires is becoming known for.
