Ownership of this place has changed hands, otherwise it’s what it’s always been, a solid if unspectacular used bookstore in downtown Grayslake. The quality of used bookstores depends largely on what individual people (I mean local folk), as opposed to vendors or publishers, bring in for sale; as the other review mentions, TOB is pretty solid on military history and a couple of other areas. There’s no shortage of pop fiction paperbacks, certainly. It’s worth browsing for good prices on books you might be surprised to find.
You will probably be disappointed if you’re hoping for good prices on your used books (people are often naïve about how much their books are really worth), but that is typical of used bookstores. Low offers are one reason the prices are low.
