Established in 2009.
My name is Steven Skaff. I have been designing audio/video and control systems in the Chicago Land, North Shore area for over seven years. I design projects that range from dedicated home theaters to fully-automated smart homes, and everything in between.
In the past, I have always worked for integrators, but I started Skaff Consulting, LLC to simplify the process for you, the client. While working for integrators, I saw many clients dealing with unnecessary frustrations. Whether shopping for the home theater, the fully-automated, smart home, or something in between, these are complex, expensive systems.
My approach as a consultant is to get to know you and your lifestyle, so I can design a non-brand specific solution that matches your needs and wants. I will guide you through the design, bidding, contract awarding, and the scheduling process and help you find a local integrator to provide the system that is right for you.

Business Owner
Steven Skaff is based in the Chicago-Land area. He has worked in the custom audio/video industry for nearly ten years. Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, he has been intrigued by audio/video and home automation technology his whole life. After achieving his Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems, from Iowa State University, he moved to the Chicago-Land area to get involved in the Midwest’s hot-spot of the custom a/v industry. He has worked as a design-engineer and project manager for nearly seven years, and has hands-on experience with installation and programming. He has led the charge for standardized design and installation practices within his organizations. He has earned many industry certifications, including CEDIA designer and AMX designer, and has worked with a wide variety of brands, systems, and installation standards.
