Tru Window Cleaning

This company is impossible to get on the phone. They never answer and they never call back. If you finally get them to schedule an apt they cancel. Then refuse to reschedule.
I bought a coupon for this company thru Living Social (they are a stand up company & they did right by the customer in this case) so try window cleaning had my money in advance and clearly did not want to do the work. The one good review they got on here is clearly one they wrote themselves.

I like to give companies the benefit of the doubt, and never post negative reviews about a single experience. However, I wouldn’t even give Tru Window a 1. I bought a Groupon in April; when I got hold of someone finally after calling they were booked through July. I scheduled for end of July and the day of someone called me to cancel in the morning because their girlfriend was in labor. OK, I understand, congratulations, and after several back and forths on the phone rescheduled for August. Come that morning someone called me to cancel saying it might rain in Maine, and to reschedule. I asked about the «baby» and of course they had no idea what I was talking about and mumbled something about the baby’s happy arrival in May or something. I rescheduled one more (third!) time and the morning of received another call canceling. I cut my losses and got a refund from Groupon. The only nice thing I can say is that the woman who returns the voicemails was friendly on the phone. Otherwise: totally unreliable — avoid!

I would not give them a one if it were an option. They are hard to reach, impossible to schedule and then after confirming the night before, they never showed up!!! Avoid this company — they are e=not reliable at all.

I would NEVER recommend this window cleaning company. I took the chance 2x (should’ve known the first time) in ordering a Living Social deal and both times they no-​showed. The ironic thing is that the woman (owner?) is nice and I spoke with her multiple times this past attempt, explaining my reservations and confirming over and over again that they would in fact show up on scheduled date to clean our windows. It’s a lot of work to take out the screens and coordinate this service so you can imagine how angry we were when they no showed again. I’ve left 2 messages for Lila the woman owner with no response. DO NOT take any chances here. I’m actually going to call Living Social as well to give them the heads up about how this service failed us 2x.

HORIBLE company. I read all the bad reviews on line, but the woman I spoke with was very nice and I am trusting, so …
I called in April and the first appointment they could give me was 7/​31, I said fine.
I called several times to confirm including 2 days prior to the day of service and she assured me they would be here unless it rained and they would notify me if they weren’t coming.
It is a beautiful day, no rain. No Tru Windows. I called several times, no answer. No call back.
I took the day off from work and rescheduled a medical procedure. I am REALLY PISSED !

Not sure how their work is because they never showed up and they are impossible to get in touch with. Horrible customer service!
Giving one star because I had to.

My friend referred the Tru team to me and I’m so glad she did. They came into my home with an amazing attitude, were fast, efficient, and tons of fun. As a team, they made this household cleaning process a blast. Their fee is totally reasonable, too. Would recommend to anyone in need of window cleaning.

Not a great company, rude customer services, never actually did a job a at my house, showed up late and then left without allowing someone time to come to the door… I will be calling groupon and would recommend avoided this company at all costs!!!

Bought a Groupon, scheduled appointment, was confirmed & they never showed. Never answered the phone, never replied to my 3 messages that I left. It’s a scam !!! Don’t not use them !!!

Bought LS coupon. I scheduled my appt 2 mos. ago. I called yesterday to confirm and no one called back. Called today and they said… oh, you should have gotten a call… we are not working today bec. it is raining in Maine. I said, «But I live in Mass! and it’s not raining». He said, sorry, you’ll have to reschedule. I would have to take another day of work! Just going to get a refund from LS. Unbelievable

Bought through Living Social to give Tru Window Cleaning a try.
I took the day off from work. They never showed up.
Called 4 different times. No return call back.
NO stars. Beware of wasting your time.
Got $$ back from LS.

Bought the LS coupon, called to schedule, they explained there would be extra charge for anything but the glass, scheduled the appointment for around 9 am. got a call at 10 after 9 saying they would be 20 minutes late. By 10:02, I was pretty sure they were not going to show, I called and left a message that I was not happy and expected something in addition to «just the glass». Decided that if they did not call or show by 11, I was going to cancel the whole thing. (I took the morning off from work for this.) They arrived around 10 minutes to 11, did a great job, everything is streak free, they were fast, courteous, friendly and apologized for not getting here sooner. There was no extra charge for anything and they even did the windows around my front door while they waited for their ride to come back. I would give them 5 stars but that lack of communication piece is a sticking point for me. They offered me discounts for the future. I will be using them again!

VERY POOR company. Pretty much a BAIT and SWITCH. I made an appointment and discussed my windows with the appointment person. Their Living Social ad said extra for bay windows, French doors, multi-​panes and skylights. I have none of these. I do have grids and I said I would remove them and the screens. There was just plain glass. The workers arrived, one came to the door and the other started counting windows. The next thing they said is there would be «extra charges» for my windows. I said I could not understand this and would they please call their office. They said yes but instead they left. I called the office but got voice mail. I called the workers cell phone and he said someone was going to call me… NO CALL yet. The scheduler called but she could not do anything except say I could reschedule. This did me no good because I have grids and screens all over. LS gave me a credit but until I find something I want from them I am out my money.

Avoid this business at all costs. I had a Living Social deal for window cleaning. The crew was rude and unprofessional, did not finish the job (they promised to return) and what they did complete was very poorly done (windows were still sticky, streaked and spotted, and dirty in the corners — drawing a finger across the window would result in a dirty finger). When I called (four times) to reschedule they ignored me until I said I would ask for a refund. Then I got a call back TELLING me when they would come back, to do only ¼ of the windows remaining to be done. They had excuse after excuse (even saying that we did not remove the screens, which we did, and that my telling them not to clean the sills and tracks — at an additional cost — was the reason for the spots and sticky residue), and were very argumentative and rude. He finally told me that if I wanted to get the refund, I should do so. So I did. Save your money and clean your windows yourself! You could do a better job than this company.
