Came here on the 28^th for my birthday because they had the best packages, $ 85 for hair and make up. Kim was both extremely friendly and professional at the same time, keeping you talking but maintaining the borders of a client relationship. My make up came out great and she helped me apply my fake eyelashes for an extra $ 10 which was excellent because I struggle to get eyelashes on I messed up on one of them and she patiently helped me fix it, guiding me through the proper steps. I’m extremely picky about how my eyebrows and I gave them a difficult time about how they were filled in. Her assistant helped me fill them in the second time around I didn’t catch her name but they both took it good naturedly and made sure they were done to my liking. She did the hair after my make up which initially concerned me because I thought the make up would melt off due to the heat but luckily no such thing happened. My hair currently is medium length with layers, I specifically asked my hair stylist to not give me too many layers because I wanted to do a waterfall braid for my birthday. Kim was honest with me and let me know that there was and possibility that she wouldn’t be able to do the waterfall braid on my hair so I appreciate that she was honest instead of making a promise that she couldn’t deliver on. In the end she was able to make the braid work by joining 2 pieces of hair together and I was so thrilled about the way it came out on my hair because I have burgundy with red highlights through out. At the end she put lots of glitter on me and made me all pretty haha. The visit took longer than I expected but a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do to look good on her special day! My only complaint about this place is the location of it it shares an address with another building so my phone kept telling me I was in front of the building when I clearly wasn’t. There’s a dead spot around here where the GPS on your phone won’t work which is an issue because Kings Highway and Quentin aren’t straight blocks so it’s not like you could just follow the block until you find the building. I will definitely be returning next year to get my hair and make up done again here :)

I went here for the keratin treatment (organic) and am thrilled with the results! Gena was very very nice and really took care with applying the treatment. It’s been a week and a half and I love my hair. It’s not pin-​straight (like when I first left the salon) but that is perfect because I like a little wave in my hair. It’s hard to explain how it’s changed the texture of my hair, a little weightier maybe? Whatever it is has made me love waking up everyday – I don’t even feel I need to wash it or even wet it most days. I HIGHLY recommend this salon (at least for keratin).

My stylist was patient and took great care of my super curly hair. I will definitely go again and I would recommend it to anyone!

I used a Groupon here to get a cut/​dye and blowout. I arrived early and was in a chair within 5 minutes. I was tired of my red color and wanted something darker and shorter. Everyone was personable and very knowledgable when I asked questions. I love my new hair and it took about 2.5÷3 hours which is standard for my very thick hair type.

Excellent! I had a haircut and colour here. The two ladies working there really looked after me well & were very sweet. They took their time to make sure everything was great! The hair colour is vegan, organic & cruelty free too. Would definitely recommend this salon.

i went to Kim back in july for a keratin treatment. she was the kindest most sweetest hair stylist i met in a long time. i went back to her yesterday 12÷30÷13 for another keratin. she does amazing work i highly recommend her work.

I’ve been going through a transition personally and professionally lately and wanted to add a fresh new haircut to my next chapter in life. I wanted to take a bold move and get a pixie haircut. I’ve never had a pixie cut and it was now or never. I was fortunate to find a Groupon deal for Gena Deva Organic Unisex Salon. Made an appointment with Kim. She was fabulous! Very gregarious and the service was outstanding! My haircut came out bad ass! Love it! Just the way I wanted it! I also love the fact that all products are organic and the service is affordable. Kim is fantastic. She does an great job of taking care of my simple haircut every two weeks, and an amazing job with my wife’s new hair style.
It is one of life’s great pleasures to have a hair stylist who gets the look you want, and takes care of reliably.
Trust that when you talk to her, she will take the time to listen and give you an appointment that will ensure you are taken care of. She always takes my calls, usually a bit panicked when I’ve forgotten to schedule an appointment. Not once has she let me down, and I know she never will.

I recently got a cut, blow out & deep conditioning treatment @ Gena Deva. I have been to many salons in Bay Ridge but decided to give this place a try as I had a groupon and also live down the block.
I will definitely be back. She listened to me as I explained the way I wanted to get my haircut and also asked me questions. She really took her time and I felt that she really listened to what I had said. She did exactly as I asked. The organic deep conditioning treatment made my hair strong and soft. Lastly the blow out was amazing and I will definitely be back soon for a blow out.
The salon is small, cute — the ladies are friendly and nice. She took me right away and also, the price is right!

I had the keratin treatment (which I had to leave on for three days) and my hair was smooth for a total of about 2 weeks, at which point my hair went back to its’ natural state of unruliness. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HER KERATIN TREATMENT.
Also, asked her for a trim (I had a chin length bob), and by the time I realized what she was doing, she had chopped the back of my hair into a pixie and was getting ready to work her way to the sides. To add insult to injury, she really didn’t cut my hair… It looked like it had been chopped, so I had to fix it at home with my boyfriends’ clipper because I had to work the following day and couldn’t go to work with my hair looking like a kindergartner had cut it. DO NOT RECOMMEND HER FOR A HAIRCUT EITHER!!!
I’m really surprised that she didn’t bother returning my phone calls because she was very sweet and personable. I’m extremely disappointed…

I just cam back from Gena Deva and I am hooked. Kim is a fabulous stylist and very sweet. She knew I was very hesitant to cut too much of my hair and cut enough to make it healthy, but left enough to make me happy. The place is small and cute and her prices can’t be beat. When I brought up that I needed my hair done for a party in a 1930s style, she looked it up immediately and starting coming up with ideas. I can’t recommend her enough!

My friend got an organic keratin treatment by Kim and it came out silky and beautiful! She only payed $ 89, she found a groupon deal. It was worth the trip from Staten Island. Kim and her staff were very warm and made us feel so comfortable. All her prices are crazy affordable and you get good results! Her extension prices were very cheap compared to the salons out here in SI. All of her dyes are also organic and she sells beautiful costume rings for $ 25 each.

I’m absolutely in love with my ombré! Great job ladies! I can not wait to come back.

I 100% recommend this salon. I don’t like going to salons, and I’ve never gotten anything done that’s taken as long as keratin takes… Although I was there for a few hours, Kim and her staff made me feel comfortable the whole time.
Regarding the Keratin treatment, my fair felt amazing afterward. I got it done less than a week before leaving on a trip to Israel, and through all of that heat my hair remained manageable. The result was much better than I expected and my fair hasn’t frizzed up once.
While I was there a few other customers were served including a man who came in for a quick cut, and a woman who came in to get her hair dyed. Both left very pleased. I recommend Gena Deva Hair Salon for all.
