Landscape maintenance, design, and installation. Maintenance includes natural and organic yard care with pest management, disease and soil problem identification, pruning, mulching, and fertilizing. Knowledgeable design and installation to achieve proper plant selection, soil building, masonry, rock walls, fences, patios, and irrigation to create livable outdoor spaces that balance maintenance cost with your yards appearance. Water saving irrigation and drought tolerant plant knowledge as well as edible landscapes and urban gardening. Rural jobs such as fences, brush clearing, small tree removal, weed whacking, and water catchment.

History

Established in 2015.

I am a 3^rd generation landscaper with experience and knowledge from growing up in a farming/​nursery family business. I studied Agroecology with a focus on botany and entomology at UC Santa Cruz while working as a landscaper for four years. After moving from Santa Cruz back to my home town in Nevada County I continued to run a landscaping business for 3 years. I then moved out of the area to return to school for a masters degree. Returning to Nevada County in 2015 I am again back at my old joy working with the earth and creating beautiful landscapes.

After studying botany and entomology at UC Santa Cruz and working for years in the landscaping business I continue find one thing as my guide to working with customers yards. I am happiest when I can help a customer take their current yard or design a new one incorporating the elements of use and appearance into a place that creates opportunities to experience beauty. Whether it is the whole setting or a small detail that catches and soothes or excites us it is the moments of beauty in nature, a flower in bloom, the angle of the sun through a trees branches, a path to a quiet corner, a butterfly, that uplift and renew people. A yard can be optimized to create more of these moments.
