Specialties
The Great American West Gallery, located just minutes from the Dallas/FT. Worth Airport features fine western art from the most collected artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. We carry an impressive collection of traditional paintings and bronzes depicting the Old West and the men and women who keep the western traditions alive today.
History
Established in 2009.
This beautiful gallery resides in an historic and beautifully restored building from 1897. What was once a retail building and later the Tarrant County State Bank, the building later housed the Grapevine Sun Newspaper until it was purchased by Great American West Gallery owner Phil Berkebile in 2009. I has been completely restored to preserve the authenticity of the days of the late 1890’s.In September of
2011, Mr. Berkebile was awarded the Conservation Award by The Grapevine Heritage Foundation in honor of it’s restoration.
With a passion for the Old West, Mr. Berkebile opened the Gallery in an effort to preserve it’s legacy. In Richard Hunter, Mr. Berekbile found a Gallery Director with the same love of Western Art and an educational backround to match.
In addition to the beautiful collection of fine western art, the gallery space is also available for lease to businesses for various meetings and cocktail receptions.
