Baylor Regional Medical Center At Grapevine

The staff at Baylor in Grapevine Tx is ok, the food is actually pretty good especially the beef stew. But there r a few nurse’s that are extremely RUDE. One named Becca and I can’t remember the other one’s name I can’t remember. They r extremely rude and VERY sarcastic. I will NEVER go to Baylor Grapevine again, I told my gf if I was dying and that was the only hospital around to just let me die !!!

I don’t think I have ever had to go to the ER in my adult life for myself, but Baylor was awesome. They made me feel relaxed and at ease, even though I was frightened. They got me in fast, diagnosed and treated me for my condition rapidly, and got me back home where I can recuperate on my own. The PA and my nurses and all the imaging staff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend if you have to go to an er.

Kudos to Grapevine Baylor. I walked in and was immediately taken into the ER and saw a dr. They called me a code purple (anyone know what that means?). I had a bit of Afib when I woke up. Took My son to His fathers house and hauled my but to the hospital. Had a tid bit of the Rich Peverly condition. My first Afib episode in 8 years. The doctor was very kind and caring. He had the George Clooney look. Mm (the real reason my heart was going Kookoo) lol and the nurse was gentle and reassuring. The people there are just awesome! Thank You Baylor Grapevine.

I am writing this review not to discredit the hospital, but to inform patients and their families of our experience, so that other people do not have to go through the tragedy my family is going through.
My father was admitted to the ER on May 13 at 10:30 after experiencing severe lower back and abdominal pain for a few months. The pain had gotten so horrible, he couldn’t take it anymore. Baylor Grapevine diagnosed my father with pancreatitis that day.
It turns out that my father actually had stage 4 Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma the entire time he was at Baylor Grapevine, which was causing the pancreatitis and not one doctor caught it.
Instead of correctly diagnosing my father and looking further into what was causing the pancreatitis, the doctors showed little concern for his worsening condition and actually had the nerve to ridicule him for his «unhealthy lifestyle choices» and blamed his pancreatitis on that. They had put him on a no food and no water diet for 4 weeks. The only explanation our family received was that his case of pancreatitis was one they had never seen before, he was «atypical». While we watched my father’s health quickly deteriorate and his stomach swell to the size of a woman pregnant with twins in her last trimester, the doctors continued to show absolutely no sense of urgency to help my father.
Dr. Sayani was just one of the doctors telling my father that he had never seen a case of pancreatitis like my father’s before (as we now know was being caused by the stage 4 Non Hodgkin’s Lymphoma). Dr. Sayani actually nodded off to sleep during one of his infrequent visits with my parents; falling asleep momentarily on the couch in my father’s room. He made sure to come in the next day with a Starbuck’s cup.
It sure made us feel really confident to place my father’s life in the hands of a doctor who couldn’t stay awake when meeting with patients.
Although Dr. Sayani fell asleep during his visit, nothing compares to the disgusting and horrible way Dr. Bouajram treated my father under his care.
The first time Dr. Bouajram met with us (5 days after my father was admitted) he told my father that he would be able to go home in a couple days because «they (doctors at Baylor Grapevine) used to keep patients with pancreatitis until they were completely healed, but realized that that was not necessary anymore and patients can go home quicker». He told my father this, even though he showed no signs of getting better.
Because pancreatitis is often caused by poor diet and alcohol abuse (my father was not an alcoholic), we decided to ask Dr. Bouajram what kind of foods my father should stay away from. He began to belittle and insult us by explaining to us that most foods have a nutrition label on the back that lists fat content and ingredients. Did he think we were that stupid that we did not know what a nutrition label was and how to read it? He certainly spoke to us and made us feel that way.
The doctors agreed with Dr. Bouajram and released my father 8 days after he was admitted. My father returned to the ER at Baylor Grapevine 5 days later with pain worse than the first time. Yet, the doctors still stuck with their diagnosis of pancreatitis.
Dr. Bouajram actually had the nerve to tell my father, in the horrible condition he was, that he was obese and he was in the hospital because of his own life choices. He told this to a man struggling to fight for his life and suffering from, at the time, an unknown severe case of cancer.
After 2 weeks of dealing with doctors who ridiculed my father for his «lifestyle choices», did no additional testing to see what might have caused such a severe case of pancreatitis, and did not do anything about the severe swelling of his stomach, my mother decided to move him to Baylor Hospital in Dallas. The day after my father was admitted there, they drained 10 liters of fluid from his stomach. The doctors immediately noticed what the doctors in Baylor Grapevine hadn’t: my father’s lymphnodes were incredibly swollen. A biopsy was taken and my father was correctly diagnosed.
It pains and sickens my family that my father wasted 6 weeks of his life under the care of doctors who made him feel guilty for his medical condition and who, somehow, did not know he had stage 4 lymphoma.

they charged me out the wazoo for a CT scan and then double billed me over months when they told me i could do a payment plan. check your bills carefully if you have anything done here. they lie.

Unfortunately, I had to recently spend several days at the hospital for a heart condition. I was extremely impressed by the attentiveness, attention to detail, friendliness, and expertise of each and everyone of the staff. Even though it was a trying experience, to say the least, I felt I received the very best in care. The staff made my unexpected stay at the hospital as pleasant as it could under the circumstances. I found the hospital to be very clean and the staff extremely diligent in their hygiene to try to prevent any spread of disease. Not once did I see anyone falter. If you must go to a hospital I highly recommend this one.

Not a good thing to rate a hospital as it really doesn’t come into a regular thing unless you work there.
Staff are really friendly and the hospital is clean as we all hope

Great service, friendly staff. Would have given it 5 stars but the service was slow.
Had to wait… and wait… and wait (1 hr 30 mins) to get my foot x-​rayed. I would definitely recommend them, and hopefully it was just a busy Monday.
