Yummy car hop food(burgers, fries, milkshakes, etc) the service is always friendly and the best part: you do not even need to leave your car.

Chicken was very cheap quality and everything had a funky taste to it. People were nice and tentative though.

USETOBE A FAVORITE, NEVERGOINGBACK. When we go to our summer home in VT we ALWAYS made sure we’d go here. The sundaes were great, my favorite is PB lovers. Use to pay $ 2.75 for a MASSIVE sundae. NOW, prices TRIPLED, half the size you use to get, food is gross and SERVICEWASHORRENDOUS! They have outdoor seating, no one comes to you, your ignored, very slow, only cater to friends and family. My advise — go to stewats across the street, buy a half gallon for half the price and it lasts longer. NEVEREVEREVERWILLGOBACK.

The general store is long gone but the car hop still rocks it in the summer. Typical car hop food, but their soft ice cream is their meal ticket. You don’t have to sit in the car and a lot of kids eat on the patio outside and there is a dining room too if you’re weak(after all it IS a car hop). They have two really good things going for them: All of the waitresses are smoking hot and it has a 1950s nostalgia feel to it. Against them: The food is very mediocre, Stewart’s has hard ice cream right across the street, and Chapman’s has far superior soft ice cream in Middle Granville. Not as good as the locals make it sound. And obtw, I am a local.

It was pouring rain as I was driving along Route 22 towards Granville. It was past lunchtime and I was getting hungry. Instead of stopping for lunch at the«Arches», I headed over to Scarlotta’s Car Hop, where food is served at your car or inside their dining room. The parking in front is very tight and limited, so I had to park behind another car. No one was outside eating in their cars and all of the customers were inside, packed and huddled in the cozy dining room which has booth and counter seating. There’s also outside patio seating too. Since the indoor dining room was full and no staff present behind the counter, I was forced to order from the outside windows in the pouring rain. As for the food offerings, it’s typical drive-in fare such as burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, wraps, quesadillas, chicken, fried seafood dinners, homemade salads, fries, onion rings, and other fried foods. Pepsi products served here. The ice cream offerings include 24 flavors of soft serve ice cream, a few Gifford’s Ice Cream(hard) & frozen yogurt by the cone, waffle cone, or dish, sundaes, flurrys, Italian ices, and shakes. The prices here are pretty good, hot food items priced under $ 10 and ice cream treats under $ 5. For lunch, I decided to order a Hamburger Value Meal($ 4.75) with Reg Size Onion Rings and Small Diet Pepsi. The hamburger and rings were generic, similar to a school lunch. The plain hamburger patty was dry, on a soft lightly toasted bun-put on my own ketchup and deep fried breaded onion rings were not homemade. The food was passable and I crossed my fingers for a good dessert. For my dessert, I was about to order a Rainbow Nerds Flurry, but then I spotted and immediately ordered the Deep Fried Apple Caramel Sundae($ 3.50) for dessert. This good sized sundae was very messy, ice cream and whipped cream dripping on the ground, but very sweet and good! This sundae had vanilla soft serve, several deep fried caramel apple wedges, lots of gooey caramel sauce and lots of whipped cream on top. Overall, a very soaking wet visit to the car hop, which was not a great time. I would return here again, but only for the ice cream on a clear day. I would definitely order the Deep Fried Apple Caramel Sundae again, but I still want a Nerds Flurry too. I could order both!
