History
Established in 1968.
This campground was originally «Ragland’s», named after the guy who built it and made it a success. After a couple interim owners who were less than successful, I took over and have spent the last year and a half trying to fix-up and to turn the reputation around. I’ve gotten some good reviews and hope all my campers leave here happy. I got the park at auction so was unfamiliar with what all it would entail, to be a park owner. I’ve learned alot and met many interesting folks. Business is slowly turning to the positive, so I guess I’m doing something right.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
I’ve been a little bit of everywhere. Starting in Evansville In. Then on to the Chicago area, out to Colorado and back to the mid-west where I graduated High school and went on to College to get a degree in art and photography. I worked at a couple of major advertising agencies before going into business for myself. Being disillusioned with the marketing industry I moved on to the retail business for a while with a «silent partner» who wasn’t so silent. So we sold that business and I found government employment with the State of Texas as a Ferry-boat Captain. At this point I single-handedly designed and built my own home on Mustang island. The job was fine, though alot of responsibility, beach life was good, but I finally had eaten enough salt and sand so I moved on. On to the Carolinas and a search for something more creative to do. I started a remodeling business that I still dabble in today. Today I now run this park.
