We have been providing our products and services to the business community since 1985. We are based out of the picturesque town of Grants Pass in Oregon’s Rogue Valley. Currently we are comprised of 20 hard working individuals who take pride in our work.
Our 4,000 sq. ft. plant located at 1710 Harbeck Rd. (off Williams Hwy) consists of a showroom, office space and production area. We provide products to customers across the countr. As there is no sales tax in Oregon we are able to provide our products sales tax-free.
If you ever find yourself in Southern Oregon, be sure to take in the beautiful sights and activities including the beautiful green scenery, fly fishing or rafting the mighty Rogue River, the Shakespeare Theater in Ashland, and of course a tour of our facilities!
History
Established in 1985.
Recognition Specialties is a manufacturing company with 25 employees, producing engraved products such as name badges for customers nationwide. High Performance measures were implemented into the company in 2004. Their successes from these lean techniques were documented on the Worksource Oregon website and also in Governor Kulongoski’s 2004 Report.

Lowell G.
Business Owner
Lowell Gibson is the President of Recognition Specialties, Inc. Born in Grants Pass, Oregon, Lowell spent 14 years in Japan. He was in the hospitality industry for 16 years and owned a family-style restaurant in McMinnville, Oregon for 8 years before becoming president of Recognition Specialties in 2000.
The effectiveness of high performance in his own company propelled Lowell in 2005 to found Southern Oregon High Performance Enterprise Consortiums (SOHPEC), where he is President of the Board of Directors. He was President of the Grants Pass & Josephine County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (2005 – 2006) and is past President of SOREDI (Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development, Inc.).
