A Unique & Elegant Setting for Your Next Event
The Bennett-Curtis House is an 18 room mansion that was built in 1900 by George M. Bennett. Then purchased by Illinois Senator Edward C. Curtis in 1919. The House is set on spacious grounds shaded by 100 year old maples flanked by bubbling fountains, sweeping lawns, lush cool ferns, & colorful flowers. The interior is beautifully decorated featuring crown molding, oak trims inlay wood floors, moray cloth covered walls, stain glass, velvet drapery, and more. If you are looking for a unique and historical setting for your wedding ceremony, reception, dinner party, shower, or your next event, The Bennett– Curtis House is it.

Business Owner
The current owners, Scott and Kerry Zizic live in the home with their 5 children. They opened The Bennett-Curtis House in 1992 and have since been serving their patronages for over 20 years. They hope that you come out and enjoy your visit to this turn-of-the-century 1900 mansion. The lower 2 levels of the mansion, as well as the grounds are all open to the public. They have accommodations for 2 – 275 people for whatever occasion you are looking to celebrate– birthday, shower, wedding, or just a night out. Scott currently is the executive chef and Kerry works in the front of house operations.
