Crushed VLVT

Lindsey E. is my new hair stylist and by new Ive been to her probably for at least five appointments. I showed her a picture of what I would like my hair to some what look like and she was honest it wouldn’t be like that after one appointment. I was okay with that because nothing happens over night. She has been very consistent with my hair and I’m loving it. She is so sweet and easy to talk to and does a beautiful job on my hair. The receptionist are so nice and always offer me something to drink. I love this salon. I also see Jordan on a regular basis for facials, but she deserves her own review so I’ll leave another one for her. She’s amazing.

I’ve gone here a few times and have always felt it was pretty over-​priced, although I will admit many of the stylists are quite talented.
However, I had a horrid experience with Lauren Capley that will definitely never have me coming back.
To start, the receptionist never asked what services I wanted, and didn’t book enough time for my appointment. So I had to drive all the way out there, then told there wasn’t enough time and to rebook. That already didn’t impress me. I’m no stranger to the hair game, and how making big changes to your hair can be a multi-​step process. I wanted to go lighter, and I had abused my hair in the past and did not have unrealistic expectations to leave with perfect blonde hair. I was quoted $ 140 to $ 170 for what I wanted, which was fine.
I DID NOT EXPECT to leave with florescent orange hair — if you cut the lights, it would have glowed in the dark. Not only that, but she put a temporary darkening shampoo over it to hide the orange and directly told me «this will wear off in 10 – 14 days, you will have to come back for us to keep going so your hair can even be wearable». She tried to charge me $ 190 for hair that SHE CALLED not even wearable (and it was not, at all). I pushed back on that and she agreed to the original $ 170, which was an awful lot for straight orange.
I made my next appointment, and expected it to be a continuation of our first one — you know, the unwearable one? I absolutely expected to pay for her time and products, but I did not expect to be charged ANOTHER $ 170 — that’s almost $ 400 in two weeks for crappy orange hair!!! She refused to discount it even a little bit, and instead «offered» to do less work (ergo leave it orange) if I didn’t want to pay.
The cherry on top was that my boyfriend had offered to pay for the appointment because he was the one who wanted to see my hair blonde, but the fact that these women work in Granite Bay with a certain type of clientele really showed when she made a joke about the expensive price and said «haha you’re probably like ‘I don’t care — it’s on my boyfriend’s card!’» — What? The hell kind of disrespectful joke is that to make about your over-​priced services and my relationship and suggesting I don’t appreciate his generosity? That really left a bad taste in my mouth.
I am not upset that my hair didn’t turn out how I pictured. I understand that takes time. I AM VERY UPSET that I was not warned of the financial implications of my hair appointment — if there was even a possibility of that price I would not have chosen that hairstyle, and would have done something easier. I was also very unimpressed with the fact that she had the gumption to charge full price to fix such a horrible job. And I did NOT appreciate her attitude regarding mine and my boyfriend’s finances, as if it was supposed to be funny that we were being over-​charged at his expense.
Oh, and I went to a different stylist (Lynee at Salon Hermosa) a few weeks later to fix their «hairstyle»…no more orange and it cost $ 75. My hair is now a perfectly reasonable shade that we can keep working with. It’s not perfect because IT IS a process, which is fine. But it looks absolutely beautiful for a transitional stage and at least I’m not paying some sugar baby stylist $ 400 to look like carrot top. What a freaking joke.

This was my first visit to the salon and my stylist was Hanna who was Amazing! I came in with a really bad haircut and color. She was able to fix the bad cut and gave me a great color as well. She is bee pleasant and easy to talk to. My staple salon and stylist!

Jinna is my go-​to girl! I love everything she does with my hair (cut, color, the works). She’s also a total blast to chat with and has the biggest heart. I might not be able to get my hair touched up as often as I’d like, but I get super excited when I can finally make an appointment. If you’re looking for someone who listens, and has the technique and experience to make you feel amazing after leaving her chair, Jinna is your girl! I’m getting ready to see her again in a few weeks, and I can’t wait to see what she does with my hair next!

Hannah is amazing. I saw her back in January and got a consultation the same day I got my hair done. It’s the longest I’ve ever spent on a hair appointment (I think about 5 hours) but she was friendly, welcoming, funny, and professional the entire time. What really makes her deserve the 5 star review, though, is how well she did on my hair. I didn’t give her a lot to work with (bubblegum pink, short bangs, olaplex used during bleaching) but she still somehow gave me exactly the style I wanted. Even after the bleaching, with the olaplex my hair was in better shape than when I went in.
Hannah was definitely worth all $ 185 and 5 hours I spent there. It was such a relief to have a stylist who knew what she was talking about, especially when it comes to fashion colors and bleach. I’ll be going back to see her soon!

Recently moved to Granite Bay, and had to find a new stylist. I am so glad I found Hannah at Crushed VLVT! She was able to correct a bad color/​highlight job and give me a clean, precise cut. I am so very pleased. Great personality and customer service to boot!

Just moved and I really really hate finding a new hair stylist. I really wanted someone that is experienced but is still learning and growing with the newest styles. I found that at Crushed VLVT with Lindsay! She did a highlight and cut for me. It’s been a month or so and still loving my hair. I have received several complements which is always reassuring to what I think was a good job! Lindsay was great, listened to what I wanted gave her professional input and ended up being exactly what I wanted. I definitely will be going back to see her!

I’ve only trusted one person to do my hair, until yesterday when I came to Crushed VLVT. I was pretty nervous at first because I am extremely picky with what I want. I have natural blonde hair, so if you were to put the wrong blonde in, it would look extremely bad. My stylist was Hannah Collins. She was awesome!!! I absolutely love my hair. It looks good, smells good, and is 10x more healthier then when I came in. My roots are no longer dull looking. I have a combination of dry/​oily hair and she put in products that would reduce the build up of oils and product build up. She also gave me a bunch of great recommendations for products and things I can do to my hair to keep it looking extra healthy. She really cares about her clients, and for being a newbie she took great care of me, and I actually loved the outcome. Can’t wait to go back to for her to WOW me again! If you are looking for a bubbly stylist who is a professional at what they are doing ask for Hannah!!!

BEST STYLIST EVER!!! Lindsay Ehringer at Crushed VLVT is an amazing stylist! She is the ONLY stylist I’ll allow to touch my hair. She is excellent with color and her cuts are fantastic. She is also extremely professional, friendly, thoughtful and always pleasant and interesting to talk to. She is super knowledgeable on the science of color and cuts and understands hair like no one else. She suggested Olaplex for my thin ends, and it has transformed my hair. In addition, she is ALWAYS on time, which I really appreciate since my time is scarce.
In addition to Lindsay being amazing, this truly is a wonderful salon. From the minute you walk in, Adrian welcomes you with a smile and you feel welcomed and appreciated. It’s a great environment with very positive energy. I look forward to going in every time. I have found my salon and will never go anywhere else!

I moved to California about 4 years ago and needed to find a good stylist. Fortunately, my mother blessed me with a nice head of hair which I do everything to preserve, hence I am very picky with stylists. But once i’m convinced, my loyalty is unwavering… that’s how it was with Lauren. She just told me to «trust her» and I did… now, she’s the boss of my hair and she NEVER falters. She understands her clients’ needs. She knows what will look and work best for your features and lifestyle. Trusting your hair with someone is a hefty decision for most people, and I guarantee, you will not regret surrendering your scalp to her. She rocks.

This is definitely my favorite salon in the Sacramento area. It’s actually about a 25 minute drive for me from downtown, but I would follow Hannah anywhere! She’s great, knows how to give you exactly what you want and more. It’s such a treat to visit her and the great gals that work there.

My experience was a great one! Jinna did my hair, I was very nervous about getting my hair done. I’m the type who doesn’t like getting my hair cut and my hair is my everything. Jinna was so nice and very understanding that I wanted the bare minimal cut off, I felt like I could trust her. I got an ombré done as well and it came out amazing! She did a great job and she even checked up on me days later to make sure I was still happy with my hair (:

Came here with my hair a disaster and left speechless. Ask for Jinna Scobee! She is amazing and won’t disappoint you! She knows what will fit you best and will even give you ideas that you would never even think of. When it comes to hair and anything else, literally anything else, she has a solution! She is the God when it comes to hair. Absolutely in love with my hair definitely coming again.

Go see Heidi England if you want amazing hair. Heidi is awesome, easy to work with and knows what she is doing. Any kind of hair, she’s got it. She’s been doing my hair for 7 years now and I’ve never had an issue.

Aja is the best! I found her several years ago at a Sephora Bumble & Bumble event. I have been going to her, faithfully, ever since (I travel all the way from Fairfield).
Color, highlight, cut and style — my hair always looks great! I strongly recommend her!

Lauren McCool has been doing my hair cut and colors for years. Whether I want pretty classic hair or feel the need for something fun and different, she always blows me away. I get soooo many compliments on my hair and nothing feels nicer than when strangers tell me how pretty my hair is. We always have lots of laughs while I’m in her chair. All thanks to Lauren!

I started going here last month because I heard about this amazing hairdresser Lindsay Ehringer from so many different clients. I seriously asked a few different ladies I had met who did their hair and and once again it was Lindsay. She does the most amazing color and her haircuts are so awesome that it makes styling my hair everyday a breeze. I’ve never had so many compliments on my hair since I have been going to her that it’s annoying my husband:) Just let her guide you and be open to her suggestions, you won’t regret it!

The stylist recommend I keep my length so I wondered how different I would look walking out. My husband did a double take and said «Wow!» when he saw me. My friend said «va-​va-​voom!» I’ll take it!
