Explorations Toys carries many familiar names, like Lego, Calico Critters, Schleich, and Playmobil, but we also carry many toys you have probably never heard of, or see only in catalogs.

History

Established in 1999.

Explorations Toys opened it’s doors in 1999 at Centennial Place on Cleveland Road and grew our business until 2007 when we moved to Heritage Square Shopping Center, becoming one of the first stores to open there after Martin’s Supermarket finished their store.

We are constantly on the lookout for new toys and games to bring in for you, and we publish catalogs 2 to 3 times per year. Be sure to sign up at the store to get on our list.

Explorations is a family owned store. Linda has had to keep her real job as a teacher in the South Bend School System, while Chuck left his position as a litigation supervisor at a local transportation company in 1999 to open up the store. (Toys seemed much more fun than litigation!)

When the kids were little (Now both in college) we always enjoyed visiting museums and most of all, enjoyed the gift shops. See nothing like those in the South Bend area, we decided a quality toy store was needed, and voila… Exploraitons Toys.
