I would give no star if I could. This company is skeezy. They’re only trying to get your money. They have absolutely no concern for the delivery of your package. No one will help you, no one will give you any useful information. I will never ever purchase anything ever again from this company, now will any of my friends, family, and colleagues. Go pick up your book at a physical location because you are a competent productive member of society and these guys are not.

These guys are crooks. There business model revolves around there deceitful practice of not considering a rental book to be returned until they decide that they finished processing it. This allows them to charge anyone who did not return the rental a month early to be hit with late fees. Any other reputable book rental company simply requires that the book be shippied back to them/​postmarked by the due date. I wish I could give this slimy company ZERO stars. Stick with a reputable merchant like

Rented a book from them and received it with a small stain. It was usable enough they sent it to me so I never end complained. When I returned it, they said it was damaged and were charging me $ 207. I complained no refused the charge. They sent it to me in that condition and should have taken it back if it was good enough to send out. I disputed the charges and my bank canceled my card. I’m done with them and will never rent again.

I ordered from Valore, but received my book from TextbookRush. Not sure how that happened.
–books get a sticker advertising TextbookRush (so is it used now? ;))
–packaging that is sticky on the inside (keeps books in place, to damage them more when you try to take them out?)
–poor, inept customer service (see below)
I contacted them by e-​mail initially and later by phone (see their BBB listing to leave a VM that they will eventually check… and reply via e-​mail if that’s your initial mode of contact). They finally replied after 5 days with the refund amount. Whew!

So I purchased my textbook 10 days ago, and paid for expedited shipping so that I could receive my textbook in 1 – 3 days. I never received my textbook flat out and was charged for it. So I sent an email letting them know I didn’t receive it so they said I would be contacted within 48 hours. Four days goes by and I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED MY TEXTBOOK. I email them again and no response. At this point I just felt taken advantage of. Of course they have good prices but what does that matter if you A) never receive the textbook B) pay for fast shipping within out reason since your not getting it anyways & C) your counting on having that textbook and you need it

I sent my books to them and was later told that the ISBN number was wrong and that the shipping date was too late. I have the copy from the USPS stating that I did send the books on time. As far as the ISBN number being wrong, why quote a price then and provide a free shipping label if later, after the book has arrived, I am being told that the ISBN number is wrong?
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISHONEST COMPANY. Sell your textbooks through another company! This company will get your books and not pay you!

I’ve bought and sold books with this company for years with no problems until recently. The story was I sent them a book that ended up being sent back to me through Fedex Smartpostfor a reason that I could totally understand, but the recipient’s address was wrong, so it then got on its way back to textbookrush. Through the tracking number, I’ve found out that the last scan was «arrived at a local post office» on May 28^th, so I called their local post office because they refused to do so. That was fine with me but there came the ugly part.
When I talked to the people at their local post office, they recognized Textbookrush right away, and were curteous enough to check their facility to see if my package was there (it was no longer there), then ALSO call multiple usps facilities in the area, from delivery to processing center, and from them I’ve found out that very likely they forgot to scan my package when handing it over to Textbookrush, and how they work with Textbookrush (TBR) is TBR has their own trucks to get the books from the usps processing center a few times a week, and they get so many boxes of packages that perhaps my book was forgotten when they got them. Meanwhile TBR has claimed that they have not received it, but I have a feeling due to the disorganization that they didn’t even know if they got my textbook back as a «returned to sender.» Or my other theory is they knew they got it back and checked the tracking and saw that they could make it out a scene of usps lost my book so one of the TBR employees could keep the book without my knowing.
This is the last time I will have any business with TBR. I’ve had similar problems with other textbook companies before, but there was never a time they said it was my responsibility to talk to the delivery companies when the packages were lost. If you want to know a more fair textbook companies, msg me and I’ll let you know. Farewell, TBR.

I would definitely not recommend doing business with this company. I should have paid better attention to the reviews I found (on sites other than Unilocal) before renting textbooks from them. I’ll try to make my long story short, but I’d rather share more information than less so people can make informed decisions about who to do business with.
I placed my order with no issues, and was pleased to get the best rental prices I could find in addition to free return shipping. Score! I received my two rentals promptly and with no issues. One of the books had some highlighting and notes in it, but it was not listed in «brand new» condition and TextbookRush’s website states that minimal wear and highlighting is acceptable. In addition, the book was certainly usable, so I accepted the book as it was and went along with my semester. When my semester ended, I returned both books in one package using the prepaid shipping label TextbookRush provided. Within a few days, I received an email stating that the books had both been received and checked in with no problems. Cool! Business concluded satisfactorily. How young and naïve I was, ten days ago. I wish I could go back to that simpler time.
A couple of days later, I received an email from TextbookRush informing me that the book I had received with some highlighting and notes in it was not usable, and that I would be charged the buyout price (125% of the book’s value, minus rental charges already paid) and the book would be recycled. I immediately replied via email, explaining that I sent the book back in the EXACT condition I received it, and as such was disputing the charge. I received an email back from their customer service explaining their policy, which I already understood, and reiterating that I would be charged almost $ 100 for a book which I could not even keep (I feel I should note here that sending me the book back is not my desired outcome — I have no desire to keep «Foundations of Program Evaluation»).
I replied that I did not accept this charge and that I would be notifying my credit card company that this was an unauthorized charge, as well as filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I received no response to this email, and my credit card has been charged. I have lodged a complaint with the BBB and will update this review when TextbookRush responds, hopefully with a good resolution.
TL;DR: Avoid renting from this company! They seem to be in the business of renting books to customers, charging them for «damage» they caused, and then renting the textbooks out again to repeat the process. If you do rent from TextbookRush, please be sure to take pictures of the books as soon as you receive them so you have proof of their initial condition.
UPDATE: The BBB came through for me, and TextbookRush is refunding me the damage charges after reviewing «previous use» and «pictures of the damage.» It would have been better if they had resolved this issue before I had to get the BBB involved, but I’m glad they did the right thing, whatever their motivation was. My review changed from one star to three stars.

I do not recommend this company. They blocked my review. Long story short they will steel your money and or books and if you complain or try anything they will go and block your information and not respond.
