Went there at around 10am on a Saturday. Definitely a locals place, every eye in the restaurant was on us when we walked in. I have traveled KY for 30 years and the myth about home town hospitality is just that, a myth. Not one smile, just a bad vibe. The LBL entrance is very close, you would think they would be friendly to strangers. Anyway, the place was dirty, ceiling tiles stained, tables not clean, typical greasy spoon. The waitress was nice, but the service was really, really slow. She got the drinks together fine. About 25 minutes waiting on breakfast can seem like an eternity. It wasnt overly busy or crowded. Omelets were good, hot, and fairly tasty. Nothing special, standard Dennys or Jerrys food. Practically sprinted out of there.

The best time to eat here, for me, is breakfast, with good ol’ southern down home cookin’. The people are froendly, a little slow sometimrs, but they keep the coffee coming until your breakfast arrives. The BBQ does not quite measure up to Memphis, Texas or NC standards, basically not the best BBQ, and they have odd hours, for only one of a few places in town. Also, as a dry county you can’t have your favorite beverage with ypur bbq, which is kind of sad. There is another more well known BBQ place nearby, but It Is a 1 star at best. The last reviewer said they allowed smoking, well not any more, it is smoke-free.

Went here when the line at Pattys was 1:45 to get lunch in middle of day. Too longs. we had the pulled pork sandwich and the chicken sandwich. Both were freshly made. NOSIDES, they are extra… so the price can be a bit high for just a sandwich. I love BBQ, and this was ok. The sauce(on the side in a bottle) was good, more likely homemade. Local Hangout from the looks of it and Smoking was allowed. Smelled like cigarettes. And that is a deal breaker for us. Sorry. Food good, pricey but no smoking in with my dinner.
