Wind Waves & Wheels

My daughters, 12 & 15 have taken a few surf lessons in the past and loved it, so, while we were visiting Maine, they wanted to do it again. We called a few places and we liked what Wheels and Waves had to offer for a lesson and then use of the board. We got to the shop on time, the girls were fitted for wet suits and they directed us to the beach… we found beach parking and quickly found the guy with the van… I wish I could remember his name because he was great with the girls, very patient and polite and gave them some good pointers. At the end of the lesson, we left the boards and wetsuits on the beach w the instructor and he handled it all. It was a nice experience and I’d bring them back. The waves were small, nothing like our surfing in California, obviously… but if you go in with small wave expectations, you’ll have a fun time!
