Fox Shawmut Hills

Purchased a new First Gear Kathmandu jacket back in September. Had a minor malfunction while on a ride from Michigan to Florida and back. Took this jacket back to Shawmut Hills and Troy, Bill, John, and Mike (From Tucker Rocky) took care of me. After looking at the jacket the replaced it with a new one.
Every time I walk into this shop I am treated like they are glad to see me. I just can’t say enough good things about all the departments from Service to Sales to Accessories. I know that I will always get good advice and a good deal.

We went to check out a bike, shaking a price out of anyone is very difficult. They don’t just label them, it’s all the haggle bs. You can’t just call and ask, you have to sit down with someone.
So we found the used model we called in about and it has parts missing, and extra wires for neon lights zip tied to the frame. When I ask about the wiring being removed I get «But neon’s are cool man». The exhaust was missing, but they had it in the back. The sales team had been riding it and the miles were much higher than the Online listing. I feel like this was the beat em up joy rider.
I test rode it and it seemed alright, but it is for my girlfriend so we had to discuss it. So after trying to narrow down a price we finally get some where. We are told we have to put down a deposit to come the next day to ride/​buy. So we do.
After talking about it we decided it just wasn’t the right bike for us and that she didn’t need the test ride. We had decided to go with a different model.
I called first thing next business day to cancel the test ride and get the refund. That was 2 weeks ago. Still no refund, but I spoke with them this morning.
Anyways, the Sales manager «J» tells me the model I was now looking for is unreliable, going to cost thousands in parts, and any other boogie man story he could. Then says well I can look at the price of the Suzuki we liked, and let me know if he could move down. I pretty much told him outright I didn’t want it, and didn’t think they would get a price I wanted.
I was assured he would call back with a price that day. No calls back.
Finally the Original sales man «T» calls me back, having heard we were looking for the other model and tells me up and down how much fun they are and asks if I’m still looking for one.
Well guys, They are either junk or they aren’t, depends on if they are selling it I guess.
This whole thing was too much work, and the «BRO Culture» is immature and stupid. I couldn’t believe a sales guy was telling us how wheelie happy a bike was, and that neons are cool. And that the bike is really fun over 100 mph.
It wasn’t like we were looking at a Ninja or R1.
All and all the sales force really left a bad taste in my mouth and I won’t likely recommend this business.
Fox really doesn’t have a good handle on how to treat customers.
I will say that Lindsey was very courteous and polite. She is the woman processing our refund.

Sale after the service was bad. Bought the most expensive toy they had, hammer you for routine maintenance.
Bought a 5 year extended warranty. Requested 3 times after sale for info on warranty and got no help. Then called 6 or 7 times when I went to trade in said toy to another dealer looking for info on same warranty, got the run-​around for over a week. In the end no call back, no nothing, they left a young sales man to deal with me and I couldnt get to anyone else. I don’t even know if I was ever sold the warranty. I may have just paid for it and didnt get it.
You would think when you and a buddy walk into a store and together spend $ 40k on 2 toys you’d get great after the sale service. NOT THE CASE.
The accessory dept guys are great. Great help, very knowledgeable and friendly. Other then that I won’t be back.

I purchased a brand new 2013 CanAm Spyder. The checkout and financing went quickly, the pro shop guy was amazingly helpful and professional.
Honestly, their service costs (oil change, etc) were a little more that I was expecting, And I wish I would have been made known before I bought a $ 20,000 machine that it would run me $ 175 every time I want to change the oil. But I guess I should have expected as much…
Honestly, I left feeling like they didn’t need my business. Which is sad, because they have been there for a long time. I hope that they can get some sales guys in there that know that not only is is friendly service and transparency that will keep people coming back, but also making sure they do their absolute best to take care of you after the sale.

I find this a good place for parts I have a few different toys and they always seem to have what I’m looking for. Knowledgeable staff can answer most questions you have and they carry a decent selection of gear. The service department could use a couple more people cause there is usually a wait. Overall a nice place to shop.
