Traveling from Oregon and planning ahead, I called Fox Powersports of Kentwood nearly two weeks before I arrived. I knew I would need new tires for my Moto Guzzi Norge(Fox Powersports is a Moto Guzzi Dealer) about the time I got to Grand Rapids, MI. I was assured that they had several different tire sets and given good prices on the tires and $ 125 to mount. I made my situation clear — traveling, needing to leave the bike for a few days and wanting to be able to quickly, easily and timely service my bike so I could continue my trip. The key was, I would drop the Norge off on a Wednesday and pick up on Friday. I called a couple of days out, confirmed the price, specified the Pirelli Angel GT’s for approximately $ 300 and $ 125 to mount. I dropped the bike off and was called that afternoon to inform me it was done. When I got there on Friday, two days later, I was given a bill for $ 500. Being shocked, I confronted the rep, the very same one who I had repeatedly dealt with, and he whittled it down to $ 475. I was informed the process took longer than was expected. Fox Powersports is a Moto Guzzi Dealer who should know this bike, the Norge/Breva line is one of the easiest bikes to change tires on AND, nearly all dealers I have dealt with base routine service tasks on a flat rate and stick to it. Not willing to spoil my vacation with further acrimony, I paid it and left. I felt taken advantage of and cheated, perhaps due to my out of town status. Simply put, I will never return and cannot recommend Fox Motorsports.

I decided I wanted to stop in to check out a bike that was listed. I was hesitant due to a poor experience at another branch of fox. I called in an spoke to a salesman names Ozzy. He didn’t have the bike there but told me he would the next day(middle of winter and it was in storage). I got a call the next day, and sure enough they had it. I came in to scope it out and it was all cleaned up and looking great. I had some technical questions that I wanted to ask, but also some that I already knew the answer to. I wanted to make sure he was a straight shooter and knew his stuff. Sure enough, Ozzy knew every question I had on the bike. Had genuine interest in making sure that we were taken care of and bought the right bike, not just a bike. All of his awesomeness was noted before I even mentioned our bad experience across town. So he helpfulness was completely genuine. We decided the price was good, and we wanted the bike. I needed a windscreen for it, and he even helped with that. Since it was winter he even had someone trailer it over. The amount of care and concern he had can’t be noted in a simple review. The guy is a motorcycle enthusiast that sells motorcycles, not a motorcycle salesman. He didn’t try to oversell me, didn’t bully me around on things that were important to me. Just remained helpful. I felt as if I was shopping with a buddy that knew more than me, rather than a salesman. Bike was delivered, all went well, and he even took the time to invite us to an event last weekend. No sales stuff, just watching the MotoGP race at their showroom. 10⁄10 I will buy my next bike from Ozzy and recommend anyone else to do so. If anyone from Fox monitors this, Ozzy is great value to your company and turned my opinion of Fox Powersports around.

Having read other reviews –it’s unfortunate that one ‘off’ day can leave such a bad feeling with a customer. I, however, have had nothing but excellent service at fox. I’m always greeted with a hearty hello by an employee ready to help with anything I need. I bought my gsxr and all my gear at fox powersports and I couldn’t be happier. The buying process was quick and easy and best of all I didn’t have someone trying to push me into a bike I didn’t want. They want to make sure you’re happy with what you’re getting and that means being there during AND after the sale. Even getting gear I was surprised that they’re not just there to sell you any old jacket or helmet like some parts guy– they’re fittment specialists. They understand that an ill fitting piece of gear such as a helmet isn’t just uncomfortable, but it could cost you your life. These guys ride so they actually know and appreciate what they’re talking about.

I was in for service and they are tops! in and out quick, first class all the way, fast friendly greeting from Ryan and Brian and then check out with Tom. I couldn’t be any happier. I don’t need to look any look any further, they have my business– tell your friends, they are my go to guys, from lawnmowers to motorcycles… they can do it! Thanks again guys for the great service!

Buying any part for a bike is difficult because you never know what you’re getting, especially when buying mail order. I really appreciate the help that«Mr. Walking Parts Catalogue», AKA, OZZIE, has when trying to find the best replacement parts for my bike. You can be sure I’ll also get my next bike from him also.

I went in last week to get an armored riding jacket and gloves. When I walked through the door, I heard a ‘hey’ from across the room, and that was the most interaction I received from an associate my entire time there. I tried on 6 different jackets and four different pairs of gloves without any of the four employees even saying hi or asking if I needed help. When I looked around, I saw that the four employees were standing together at the counter, talking among themselves. This is pretty sad considering that the gloves are about 10 ft from the counter. I finally left after not getting any help. I don’t know if this is a common problem there, but I was not happy at all. I had a lot of questions on protective gear and don’t feel comfortable purchasing something from people who don’t the courtesy to greet me with something other than a ‘hey’ from a distance. I ended up going to another shop across town and will most likely continue to go there because the staff was helpful.

The General Manager at Fox Powersports in Grand Rapids came through for my cousin. If you ever purchase a plow for your ATV, be sure to ask about warranties. My cousin, purchased a Moose Plow from Parts Un-limited and had several problems and metal tore in first 60 days where the plow connects to the frame. Parts unlimited and Moose said it was collision damage and not covered. Yet the only thing he collided with was Snow. After he complained to General Manager at Fox Powersports in Grand Rapids where he purchased it, they are going to replace the part and make it right.(This may have something to do with the fact that my cousin is in law enforcement, you think? But, what success would John Q. Public have?) My cousin stated that he will do more research about warranties on after market items in the future.
