Ok… let’s talk ribs. These are not good. On a Thursday when your drunk hungry and want to eat all you can… then ok. But if you are looking g for truly 12 hour smoked ribs… GOELSEWHERE6. The ribs here are either boiled or baked till the fall off the bone. This is NOT the way good ribs should be. Real smoked ribs hold to the bone until stripped. The meat should be firm and have a smoky flavor. The only flavor on these ribs was 5he cheap food service sauce slathered all over them. JUST A POOREXCUSEFORRIBS! Golden Coral does RIB s better! But again… if drunk, famished and do not know any better… then fine. Eat them up. Now let’s talk sweet potato wedges. I really wanted a great hand currently wedge baked then fried crispy with a soft creamy center… NOPE! What got was a handful of Crinkle Cut Orida frys. THEYSUCKED. I am being generous on the 2 stars only because I ate at the bar and the company was good. And who the hell puts sugar and cinnamon in their butter? Really… just dumb!

To respond to Gary’s comment. I wasn’t expecting a great steak. I said a «good sirloin» in my review. Either way, semantics aside, I expected more from a place that calls itself a steakhouse.

It’s a local chain. I don’t mind waiting for food/table, but sitting listening to the hostess is making want to chop my ears off. She doesn’t seem to care about anyone at all. A group of 7⁄9 came in and they said they were a chair short and ask for another. She said get that one and the customer had to get there own chair. I have had to sit here and listen to the Resturants gossip while she chats with another server… she had told 5 customers that walked in to check the bar for a table knowing full well it was full. Because she has said that when they went back their. Honestly I want to punch her in the mouth… The food: The food is good. I loved my ribs and my steak. The shrimp is good as well. As for chains they have really good food. I enjoy them much better then the local steakhouses. The prices are reasonable and the portions are a good amount. I will be back for a good steak and ribs. As for staff, they have Young kids… who frankly need to learn some professionalism.

I’ve been going here for as long as I can remember, probably even longer than that. In all that time, Branns has gone through many changes in the quality and atmosphere. It seems it was at first more of a up scale joint and now it’s more laid back. Back in the day, my family would go here for the Sunday morning brunch where they would fresh make omelets that you put together yourself. It was quite the experience and I remember it being really good. They also had slow roasted roast beef and you would go up, grab a slice(or 10) and repeat. After that, Branns started to go downhill. The place seemed more dirty, more run down and eventually that was reflected in their food. I heard this was caused by some changes in the family or something but don’t quote me on that because people love to talk. Rather than going belly up, Branns went through some big transformations and things really picked up. They became a place that anyone of any age can go to and feel comfortable. They are a big time sports bar now but even if that’s not your thing you will still be comfortable. The atmosphere is lively and entertaining. There is a good selection of seating, from quaint booths to a large bar seating area. The food is good. I could say a lot more but it is just that, good… not great but not bad in any way. I usually get the same thing, a 8oz sizzler loaded baked potatoes, garden salad(and sometime I get the mushrooms on the steak cause they are the bomb). You also get their warm buns and crazy good brown sugary butter spread. For what that meal is, they do a rock star job at it. The steak is a quality lean chuck of beef that bounces back to you when you throw it at the wall. Branns does not do all that crazy chemical and flavor masking stuff that some places do. It’s just a good flame cooked steak that taste very favorable and consistent. I have ordered other items from their menu and I’ve never had anything disagreeable. This is a steak house however so if the burrito magnifico is not up to your standards then maybe you should re-think where you are eating at. The ‘off the menu’ wings are good and they even custom made some sriracha wings one time for me. The burgers are OK, your typical big and dry GR burger. The beer selection is a very nice array of domestics and crafts, featuring GR beers often. They also provide a wide selection of specialty liquors, margarita and the such. So, Branns has been around long enough to prove it’s worthiness here is GR. I feel I’m a bit bias on the positive side just because I’ve been going here for so long and therefore I forgive most shortcomings. I can say that I would easily choose Branns over similar style /price range steak restraints. Sure Branns does not do superior mouth watering award winning select cut steaks, but then again your not spending those prices either. Everything on the menu and on tap is priced fare. One last thing I can say about Branns. They are one of the very few places left that will give you a free steak dinner on your birthday. It’s actually a coupon for a free steak dinner on your next visit but still, hardly no place does that any longer. I’ve even gone here a few days past my birthday and they still honored it!

Typical chain place. Big menu filled with mostly unhealthy food. I ordered plain chicken, steamed broccoli without butter and the sriracha mesquite chips. The chicken is served on a hot plate, which is nice that it stays very warm. The broccoli came with butter but the server quickly replaced it when I asked for new broccoli(yes, I’m that person). The chips were a huge disappointment. House made kettle chips with just a dusting of some spice. I do give them props for good service. They were busy but our server did a good job. My water glass was never empty, which is a sign that they are paying attention.

Ate rhe recommendation by our host and drank founders from the tap. Good price and value. They promote the top sirloin but we went for the porterhouse.

Here on a Saturday evening ready to watch some of the college football game and get some relief from the heat… I guess they don’t have local stations because there is only one game on. Not much of a «sports bar» with one game one. The other televisions have skateboarding, nfl preseason replay game and a Detroit Tigers year in review. Also the temperature inside must be at least 76 as it is uncomfortably warm. On the bright side the food is very good. The steaks are great and the spicy buffalo wrap is nice and hot. Hopes were high when we saw the menu, it made everything look and sound delicious. however, as the food started coming out, it was becoming apparent that the cook had«checked out» and probably hates his job. We had avocado nachos, sounded good, with founders pale ale beer cheese, however the cheese was more like a soupy mess which made the chips so soggy they could not hold up and we needed to use a fork to eat. And why go through the trouble of making founders beer cheese and then use GFS taco meat, just odd. The ribs: I’ve heard of fall of the bone but damn! This was liquified ribs and I practically needed a straw. Tasted like two day old dark meat chicken. The fries were soggy and somehow stale. The kids chicken strips were over cooked dark brown and hard. The wife had pulled pork wrap, but the sauce was overpowering and the slaw was non existent, also the cheese was not melted yet the meat was very hot, again odd. She had about two of the fries. My other kid however loved the steak and fries. Another regretful dinner and $ 70 gone. Bummer. My first clue should have been the majority elderly and obese clientele. Lots of mouth breathers, just sayin.

I had their ribs and steak comb and it was delicious. The sauce for the ribs wasn’t anything to write home about they were the most tender, fall off the bone ribs I’ve ever had. The steak was also cooked to perfection. 5 stars

Been here a few times and was quite pleased with the food they made. My first time there I had a burger and I was quite pleased with it. I will say that the wet burrito with ground beef does not taste good at all in my opinion. If you want to get their burrito, grilled chicken is the way to go. The service is good besides the last time I went I had to wait 20 minutes for my server to take my money. Other then that Brann’s is pretty good.

If you call yourself a steakhouse, the steak should be good. My husbands was one step above sizzler or ocb, not worth the price for sure. My ribs had many small bone shards and a lot of sauce. The salads were average for a chain restaurant. The servers were nice and attentive but we won’t be back. The quality of the food just isn’t worth it.

Local chain, value priced food. Lots of tv’s In the lounge and they have wing nights. With coupon, you can get one of their steak meals for around $ 5. You get what you pay for so if you are on a budget, this place fills the need. Haven’t had a really good meal here until last week. Tried their pork carnita. This was cheap and tasty. May have found a new go to item when watching sporting events here.

Burgers are great and the ribs are decadent. I don’t want to burn out on Brann’s so I limits my visits to one every other month.

Great experience with dinner for four. Watched all thursday night football games at once, but it wasn’t loud. Elizabeth provided efficient, friendly service. Wings as an appetizer with the most Bleu Cheese chunks I have ever had with b/c sauce. Caesar salad was good, although I was dunking my romain into the leftover b/c. Thursday night all-you-can eat ribs :) Initial plate was enormous(2 lbs) and was all I could eat. Only drawback was bits of rib bones left on the meat that I would occasionally crunch. Overall the entire table(filet, tilapia &2 rins) was impressed at our local restaurant choice.

When in Michigan Brann’s in a staple for people looking to watch sporting events, while enjoying a bite. When leaving here, you’ll know it’s better than Buffalo Wild Wings, Hooters, etc, but won’t be wowed. Meanwhile, if seeking out a place where you can relax, drink, eat and watch multiple games at once, you’ve found a good spot. There’s a bar area for adults and enough room in the restaurant for families to spread out and watch games, day and night. We sat in the bar and were impressed with the service. Our server as attentive, friendly, helpful and on top of things, which can be tough to find at other similar establishments. For games, the bar area is a good place to be, boasting a clean, up beat atmosphere. The food isn’t amazing, but good enough for bar food. I’ve never tried the steaks here, but the patty melt, turkey sandwiches and other burgers are decent, but you came here to watch games and drink, anyway, right?

Brann’s is a local chain of sports themed steakhouses serving their popular«sizzler» Sirloins and beer specials throughout the week. I would say it’s similar to a Texas Roadhouse or Applebee’s in style, food, and price point. I’m not a regular here but my in-laws LOVE this place — «it’s a good value and they take coupons», they tell me every time we come for a family lunch get together. To be fair, it is indeed a good value and they accepted the birthday coupon my father in law had. Also, they seem to be able to easily accommodate larger parties at a moment’s notice which worked for my family when we had a few people come late. My 6oz prime rib sizzler came with a veggie side, a side salad, their yeast rolls and their super good cinnamon butter for $ 9.99. I requested my sizzler medium-well and I would describe what I received as medium. My father in law got rare and it was bright red and possibly still moo’ing, if that gives you an idea of what their«done-ness» scale is. Everything is pretty heavily salted so be ready to gulp down a lot of liquids to hydrate. As such, our server — who had the patience of a saint — was busy refilling coffees and sodas our entire meal so I didn’t complain about about the meat. All in all, the food isn’t bad, just basic. I’m kind of a hipster in that I like to try weird food. If you don’t like weird stuff, you’re going to like Brann’s; you know exactly what you are going to get with each plate. I noted that they must have redid their menus since I was here last because I pleasantly surprised to see a slimmed down offering. They kept all their classics but it wasn’t overwhelming to read. I hate menus that turn into a flip books; Keep it simple. And I suppose that’s Brann’s in a nutshell– they keep it simple, basic, and in big portions.

The food wasn’t very good at all but the waitress was very nice. Also, they really need to clean their booths better, as ours was sticky. I probably won’t hurry back to this one.
