Native American Winds NDN Music & Books

This was a vendor I came across at a recent conference I attended in Dallas. I’m always on the lookout for indie Native movies (& pow wow cds, of course), and I found that with this vendor. He had a ton of Native films. Now I had most of the titles he was selling, but there was one which I hadn’t heard of (Turquoise Rose — http://​www​.turquois​erosethe​movie​.com/). I ended up buying this one (it’s a decent movie).
For pow wow music, he had a decent selection, not a whole lot, but I reckon that might be because he wasn’t at a pow wow. I noticed a «homemade» looking Battle River cd, and he told me he had just recorded them in Louisiana recently – that was interesting. I had no ideas pow wow drums ventured into the deep south!
This vendor attends GON (that’s Gathering of Nations), and he hooked me up with a program from last year along with a bumper sticker.
