Best Western Plus Arlington North Hotel & Suites

My husband and I drove down to Dallas, Texas to pick up our car (which was shipped overseas from Hawaii to the mainland).
This was a last-​minute booking. We first tried the La Quinta and another Inn near the Six Flags park, but they were all out of rooms.
This Best Western is very nice. It’s clean, modern, smells nice, and it’s very accommodating.
The room my husband and I got had a king-​sized bed, a rather large TV, mini fridge, microwave, a desk, a love seat and coffee table, and a very nice bathroom. The shower head in the bathroom has 2 – 3 different settings.
I was very surprised and pleased with the free breakfast (served between 6am-​9am) I thought it was going to be continental, but it was more than that-​there were make-​your-​own waffles, sausage patties, eggs, homestyle potatoes, bagels and other bread foods, cereal, coffee, etc.
My only issue with this Best Western is the price. We were quoted $ 199 for one room just for the night. We got a military discount of 15% off, and it came out to around $ 170ish.

Hotel looked and smelled clean, updated rooms/​bedding modern feel. Beds are a bit hard and pillows are small, but comfy. Dispenser for shampoo, conditioner and shower gel weren’t working properly, but I got enough to use. Overall for price great value!

Excellent Hotel for the price! Clean and spacious rooms w in room coffee, fridge and huge TV. The bed was super comfy and pillows super soft. The staff was friendly and helpful w directions to a nearby restaurant. If I am in the Arlington I would definitely stay here again!

Rude staff. Not helpful. Van service had way more attitude than necessary. This isn’t a tip. It’s the truth. Most staff do not have a strong English language grasp

I would have given 5 stars but there were just a few things that I wasn’t happy with… the bed was very hard and the pillows very small which made it hard to get comfortable. The cleaning staff was great and the front desk somewhat helpful. We were in town for the cotton bowl and ask about a shuttle to the game and back. They only have shuttle to the game so you are out of luck on the ride back. The shuttle had just left so it wouldn’t be running again for another hour and we were ready to go then so the front desk clerk suggested a cab company that they use all the time. The cab picked us up quickly and was very professional with drop off and the price was a little high…$ 30.00 for 3 miles. We ask the cab guy if he could pick us up after the game and he said he could pick us up at Walmart across the road from the stadium. After the game we Walked the mile to Walmart and called the cab guy and he said he couldn’t get there to find another cab. Well we tried but they were all taken or they were suggesting we give them $ 100.00 for the 3 mile ride. We tried calling the hotel front desk and ask him if he could call the cab company and he did and called me back and suggested we go back to the stadium and try to find a cab which I already explained we did with no luck. We sit in Walmart for about an hour and tried the cab guy back several times and finally he had another co worker call us and pick us up. Was so glad to get back to the room… another $ 30.00. So moral to the story… drive to the game next time. This of course was not the hotels fault but the bed and pillows were sub par and the breakfast was very basic. The price was good for the location. It was easier to park behind the hotel than it was to try to get in the front.

Wonderful experience. No complaints. At first the small square pillows had me skeptical, but they are very comfortable. Hallway is a little noisy when people go in and out and there is a little highway noise, so stay on an upper level if possible, but it didn’t disturb my stay.
Staff was very friendly!

TL;DR — HOTEL ATTEMPTED TO DOUBLE BOOK US AND CHARGE US AN UNFAIR SMOKING FEE WHEN WE DID NOT SMOKE. THESE GUYS ARE JUST OUT FOR YOUR MONEY.
This is probably the nicest best western I’ve ever been in; however,
The people running this location are only here to take your money. A me and 3 other weary travelers stumbled in at 4:00 am to book a single room (2 queens). The desk person tries to sell us two rooms, which were exactly the same on paper — however one was priced at a premium! We insisted we only needed one room.
He pretends to understand and gives us our room key. We ask for a late check-​out at the time because we were only going to be there for a few hours before leaving. He says it’ll be okay to check-​out at 12:30pm. He hands us our key.
«You won’t need the other key for the other room then?»
Why would you ask us that if we only booked one room? We didn’t think anything of it then. When we arrived at out room, it smelled strongly of smoke. We called the front desk telling them of the situation. Having already sort of settled in, we were fine with accomadations (it’s 5:30AM now.) Front desk assured us we would not be charged for the smoking we DID NOT DO.
Next morning, we are woken hastily at our door and told to leave. They ‘saw’ us smoking. False. We had been sleeping all night. How could they have seen us? They kept bothering us to check out immediately even though we had hardly put on any clothes. They informed us that there would be a $ 250 dollar charge for smoking.
OH YEAH, AND HE STILL CHARGED US FOR TWO ROOMS.
Liars. All of them.

From the beginning we enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly and got my wife and I set up in no time. We proceeded through the borderline elegant lobby and to the elevator that took us to the 4^th floor.
When we got to our room we immediately found it to be classy, comfortable, and spacious. We booked on Orbitz and were able to get a room with a king sized bed for $ 97. When my wife told me the price and the fact that it was a Best Western I was not excited. But when we walked in I found myself suddenly surprised. There was even an air freshener that smelled great but wasn’t overpowering. The bathtub/​shower was a little small but not cramped. There was also a pool but we didn’t use it because it was the 4^th of July and we were busy hitting up the city.
Overall a great stay and we’re going to come back.

Stayed here while moving a friend from Philly to San Diego. This hotel was a delightful respite along the way. Besides being spotlessly clean, the hotel smelled fresher than any hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I do a fair amount of traveling for business and pleasure. Bed was incredibly comfortable. Flawless in every respect.

This Best Western is a good value, the staff is friendly and the rooms are very well appointed. You could do a whole lot worse.

This place is the most inconsiderate place earth. They begin cleaning at sun-​up and have loud walkie talkies. They run the loud vacuums so early that there is no way to sleep in. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every word and noise in this loud, awful place.
This is the loudest hotel I have ever stayed at. I wish I could give it zero stars.
