DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Dr Dean should retire and has zero bedside manner. He is rude and talks down to children. My daughter was in surgery for over 2 hours and he kept yelling at her. She is an anxious child and I told him that I did not like how he was speaking to her. I had a terrible feeling about him after I took my son for a visit and should never have brought my daughter here, too. I cannot believe he is the the ONLY pediatric dentist at this place.

Everyone was pleasant and the office is new and clean. I can’t however justify the cost of their services. My 18 month old son was seen for the first time in December. We waited an unusually long time (nearly 40 minutes) before being seen; I was told this was due to some confusion/​being short staffed. The hygienist we saw was apologetic so we moved forward without issue. Until I received the $ 190 bill. The actual appointment lasted all of 15 – 20 minutes and included a teeth cleaning, fluoride treatment, and some Q&A with the dentist. Mind you however, I was there with a one year old; he allowed the hygienist to brush one or two teeth before he was visibly upset and crying (I’m sure the 40 minute wait was largely to blame, as most kids his age don’t have a long «shelf life» if you will in these situations) and I had her skip the flossing altogether. That didn’t stop them from billing me $ 57 for the «cleaning» alone. It took me several phone calls to finally get that $ 57 refunded, which was even more ridiculous. Not one of the employees I spoke to when trying to sort out the billing issue was apologetic or empathetic to my complaint. The office manager that was finally able to resolve it even told me at one point, «Well, that’s our rate.» Obviously that is fine, even if I believe it to be a total rip off; the point is that the service you’re charging for was hardly rendered. Be reasonable, people.
We don’t currently have him on our dental insurance plan, so of course we were expecting to pay for the visit out of pocket, but never would I have guessed it would cost that much. (Obviously, this first time mama learned her lesson: call first, idiot.) It’s genuinely ironic though that it’s so strongly encouraged/​recommended to have your toddler seen early and every 6 months in order to get them used to/​comfortable with the experience, yet at Oral Health Partners the cost alone would easily deter/​exclude most families from being able to do anything of the sort.
It feels like highway robbery, if you ask me. We’ll definitely be going elsewhere… unless they decide to send me a $ 100 gift card with his next cleaning reminder.
