Mac Daddy Motorworx is a full service automotive repair shop for all makes and models, specializing in Mercedes, Sprinters, BMW, classic, new, and fleet vehicles. We offer services from basic oil changes to engine rebuilds, as well as electronic auto diagnostics, brake system services, A/​C diagnostics and repair, and more! Let us help you with emergencies, scheduled maintenance, and preventative services keeping your car in top condition. The owner, Craig Wieland, purchased the business in January of 2014 and has been with the company since its inception in 2008. Craig has extensive knowledge in Mercedes Benz, Sprinters, BMW, and other imports. Craig has two mechanics trained on the most current and advanced computer diagnostics equipment with specialties in Subaru, performance 4x4s, and domestic models. Your satisfaction is our priority!

Established in 2008.

Craig Wieland purchased Mac Daddy Motorworx on January 1, 2014. Craig was the lead technician since the company’s inception in 2008. Craig brings an extensive knowledge of import vehicles thanks to his work as lead technician for an independent Mercedes Benz shop in California. He is also a trained Subaru mechanic. Craig’s goal is to make your car repair experience a positive one putting honesty and integrity first.

Before Craig graduated high school, he had his sights set on automotive technology as his chosen profession. Throughout high school he worked as an automotive machinist for Marino’s Automotive Machine Shop in Santa Cruz, California. After high school, Craig received his technical education from Deanza College of Automotive Technology in Santa Clara, California. Throughout college and after graduation, Craig worked for Circle Star Motors, an independent Mercedes Repair Shop. Craig moved to Grand Junction in 2004 and worked for WestStar Aviation as Line Technician. He returned to automotive repair at Grand Junction Subaru until he was hired as Lead Technician for Mac Daddy Motorworx in 2008. Craig’s dream of owning his own business came true in January of 2014 when he purchased Mac Daddy Motorworx. Craig brings a refreshing personality and style to automotive repair in the Grand Valley, as he is honest, prompt, trustworthy, and easy to work with.

I have a new mechanic. These guys are great. They pride themselves on doing it right. I thought I had some serious problems with my SAAB but they are honest and they got the problems fixed. They even went out of their way to correct work that was done wrong by a different mechanic.

My 2005 Sprinter based RV was running hot. Turned out to be a failing fan clutch. Called Mac Daddy, set up an appointment and they had me back on the road in no time. Fast, courteous, and knowledgeable.

I have known these guys a long time. They do good work. If they can’t fix it, they will tell you so and recommend someone that can. I am happy with the services that they have performed for me. I have had a timing belt done on a subaru and a clutch done on a toyota t-​100. All done well.

My wife and I were on vacation and our radiator started leaking badly. Despite the fact that they had a lot of other autos in front of us Mac Daddy took time out of there busy schedule to fix my BMW and get us on the road. Thank you so much!

My experience was the opposite of these reviews. My van was there for two months with 2.5 hours of labor. I received at most one call from MacDaddy after I left my van. They did not call me to order parts, they didn’t order the parts after I would call them. I had to bring in parts needed each time. This happened many times because they did not properly identify the parts I brought these indiscretions up to the owner and he said «transitional times are tough». He knows I own many other vehicles they service, I guess he gets enough business that he doesn’t need any more. Would have given 2 stars if my van’s battery wasn’t dead upon pickup, which says a bit more.

When my Sprinter mysteriously broke down while driving back from Indian Creek, we felt like we were doomed: no one in Moab would even go near it, so we had to get a tow into Grand Junction to MacDaddy Motor Worx, who very graciously squeezed us in during their really hectic schedule.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by excellent customer service from Jake, and an auto shop full of mechanics who truly enjoy working on Sprinters. We knew it would be expensive, and take some time. Jake was so kind and drove us out to a local coffee shop, then later we got a call from a local hotel who had been contacted by MacDaddy to help us find somewhere nice to stay while we were stuck in town. I was blown away by their kindness and hospitality.
Did I end up dropping nearly $ 1000 on my van? Yes.
But did I also end up driving back to Grand Junction from Denver to get my 10k oil change/​service at this auto shop because I loved them so much? Yes. And did they give me a great discount on the servicing? Yes. Did the owner of the shop spend some time chatting us up and offering true advice on what we needed to do to the van to keep it running? Double yes.
I can’t recommend this place enough. If you have a Sprinter and need it serviced in the area, this is the place to go. My van is my home, and I trust these guys with it 100%.

These guys are Great. I have worked at Porsche/​Audi/​VW dealers for years till moving here where there is a real lack of them. That is fine as these do great work for a whole lot less. They have worked on my Boxter S, Tiguan and friends Jettas.
Do not listen to the silly person below about oil cost. This place is great.

DO NOT Take your car here to get serviced!!! I am new to the area, and read the reviews on here saying they were great, honest, helpful, etc!!! They were very nice when I dropped my car off, gave me a shuttle to work, and were VERY friendly!!! However — -when I went to pick up my car for a simple oil change the cost was $ 62!!! I have lived in Southern California prior to living here and even the high end shops never charged me more than $ 45. I hope they do go work on vehicles… but geez!!! This price is DOUBLE what it should be!!! I will not be going back!!!

I am driving across the country and my car started acting weird while driving over the mountains. I stopped in to have it looked at first thing on a Monday morning, and even though they were incredibly busy, they knew I was traveling, so they worked me in. They were done and I was out of there before it was even time to continue the trip! If I lived in Grand Junction, they would be my regular mechanics; it’s a great place!

I came in for brakes, not even knowing they could fix my headlight and give my car an oil change! My car didnt even need new brakes, and they told me as much, when they could’ve charged me anyway and I wouldnt have known otherwise… just like another reviewer’s experience. Honest car shop… thats usually an oxymoron, but not here! My experience was awesome and everyone was very friendly. They also offer shuttle service if you need to get to work. Amazing business! Definitely bring your car here instead of elsewhere! :) Last time l went to the dealership and they fixed the wrong headlight and charged me more than MacDaddy for the SAME service. Plus MDaddy was way faster!

With a name like Mac Daddy, how can you go wrong? Total gearheads, and by far my favorite mechanics of any, ever, in the history of my life, the folks at Mac Daddy are knowledgeable, super helpful and incredibly nice. The shop is run and owned by Paul and Tina Woodward (who may be the cutest married couple you’ve seen), with assistance from Craig Wieland. Paul’s been a mechanic for over 25 years, and Craig has famously been pulling apart and fixing engines since he was 5. While Mac Daddy specializes in «European & High-​End Luxury Auto Repair», they’ll cheerfully fix anything from a dune buggy to my little Honda. Even better, if they can’t fix it, or think someone else will be better suited for the job they will send you to that someone else with a wave and a smile.
