I will preface this review by saying that the services I received from Dr. Iacobelli’s office were before Unilocal’s time. I’m in my mid-​20s, so we’re talking about 10 years ago.
That said, my experience here was absolutely awful, as was my sister’s and many of my then-​middle-​school-​aged friends. My parents dropped at least a few grand here, and I spent a year and a half getting jaw expanders put in, taken out, getting braces put on, then taken off. The braces did straighten things out a bit, but when they were taken off the dude didn’t even give me a retainer, so of course they moved right back to where they had been. Not surprisingly, we were told I would need braces again, and it would cost just as much money. Finally I got fed up, switched orthodontists (yay Dr. Vanivelt!), and my teeth were straightened perfectly in a year and I was given both top and bottom retainers from my new ortho. I’m not sure what Dr. Iacobelli’s deal is, but obviously this experience scarred me enough to Unilocal about it a decade later, so take what you will from that, hah.

I still have a Dr. Iacobelli smile. He gave me braces and took them off without pulling out a single tooth. He was our second opinion. The first dude said that he would have to extract four of my teeth! What a scam artist.
Dr. Iacobelli is awesome, he’ll even put in yellow and gold bands on your braces even though he is a Michigan State fan.
